Hi
Please dont suggest that I am using illegal software. The version of Powerfile I use is a full version. You can get it for $19.95 from my-symbian.com (it was 33% of last month). If you are using illegal keygens and cant get them to work with your new phone, then you're lucky that is all that is happening. Illegal software can contain viruses and trash your phone.
As for the other questions asked, you can find the answers earlier in the thread as I've had enough of discussing firmware etc.

Initially it had a 1 megapixel camera, but the latest firmware(4.01) upgrades the camera to approx. 1.23 megapixels, though it can take pictures at normal VGA(640X480) resolution as well...

what type of camera does this phone has? is it a VGA or a MP camera? cause the pictures from this site, "taken with the built in camera" are fuzzy.

Hi Jorge
Try using "Switcher". It's a wonderful tool. You can terminate any application which is running in the background if you wish, unlike the default lower right hand corner button on the handset which is gonna close all the applications which are running in the system. You can download Switcher from the net for free. Just search in Google.
Cheers

To close applications properly, press and hold the bottom right button for 5 seconds. This will close all applications. Version 4.01 firmware actually seems to have improved this so that it closes all the applications correctly.

Hi All,
Just got my 7710 this week and I haven't got any chance to browse all of the applications yet, I'll probably do it this weekend. As for now, the only problem I encounter is how to close the applications except for pressing the button on the left side of the handset or tapping the circular logo on the status indicator area. Are there any other way of closing an application. It seems that every applications were still open upon pressing that button so it runs quite slow . Please advise.

7710 audio quality is excellent and better than the SE750. It is lacking in bass and volume in my opinion, but sounds great on the headset or indoors.
PS Ref Camera problems, I recharged overnight and it works fine (I made no other change). I think the 7710 doesn't like having loads of photo's on its memory card and gets slower and less stable the more it has (I have about 120 at the moment).
Ref MS Word files, the phone really stuggles when a file is in the 1mb size region and will fail to convert if you have too many applications open. A 16mb document failed totally and an 881kb file with graphics and embedded docs really struggled. PDF works, but is slow.
Picodrive is stable and quite fast.

sh*t!. I can't Sleep!
my phone can't startup!!!! it shows blank screen only but can't boot! i've used the formatting codes( the thing that u have to press three buttons) when i choose to proceed, it returns to the blank screen. so it does not work on mine!
it happened to me ehen i used the "restart application" then left my phone on the table coz i knew it will take a while. when i return, it's blank screen already. i tried the formatting trick but doesn't work. lucky that i got a phone with 1 year warranty so now i will go to care center for them to fix it. ever it happened to you???? what can you say about it???

I have been following this site for a longtime.
I have finally decided on 2 phones; SE 750 and Nokia 7710. Now, the deciding factor is the quality of sound from the MP3 player. Can anybody please tell, which is better. I love 7710 and hope it gives good quality sound.

Hi guys.
Apologies fir not being around, I have been camping in COrnwall and I've just got back shattered. I'll read up any outstanding probs in the morning, but thanks Castillo for all the assist.
Ref cameras not saving to memory, I have had this same problem myself with my new phone and 4.01 firmware. It appears to happen mostly if the phone is not fully charged. I have resolved this by either shutting down all applications including the camera or by removing the battery for some time. I think the camera gets "stuck" at times and its a real pain. I had this once on my old phone and found d/ling the photos I had taken to my pc helped. I suspect the cause may be associated with deleting a photo you have taken rather than saving it, but I am not certain.
