Perhaps one of the most interesting game in n7710 currently is the Superminers. The full version(c.r.a.c.k.e.d) :) is available. I suppose by posting the link here is useless as the admin will certainly remove my posting. However there's a bug with this version(c.r.a.c.k.e.d) at level 28. Let me know if you need it. I will help you.

FireWire (also known as i.Link or IEEE 1394) is a personal computer and digital video serial bus interface standard offering high-speed communications and isochronous real-time data services. FireWire can be considered a successor technology to the obsolescent SCSI Parallel Interface.

Almost all modern digital camcorders have included this connection since 1995. All Macintosh computers currently produced have built-in FireWire ports, as do all Sony PCs and many PCs intended for home or professional audio/video use. FireWire is also used on the Apple iPod music player, permitting new tracks to be uploaded in a few seconds and also for the battery to be recharged concurrently with one cable.

Firmware: You must go to a Nokia Service Centre. The alternative involves buying the firmware, a special cable, an eeprom blower and software. I would not recommend it.

Have sent e-mails to those who asked for me to do so.

                  Hi there boys and girls.

I just got the confirmation email from Nokia SA, stating that 4.01 is the latest version and that it was launced on wednesday.

Now I am just waiting to hear if it has been distributed to all the service centres.

                  Cheers

                    E-mails sent with themes etc.

Firmware is the basic operating system of the phone (like Microsoft Windows). To install the latest firmware you either have to go to a Nokia Service Centre or you have to get the firmware off the net, buy a special cable, the software to blow the eeprom and an eeprom blower. You then have to hope you dont cock it up as your phone will be toast.

Mohit, I am certain that you meant to say Whitchking and Hugo for I am a realively newcomer to the world of the n7710, whereas whiching has been posting on this site for much longer than me. But thank you, none the less.

The 7710 is a beast of two colors. You either love it or you hate it. Simple as that.

Yes, the 7710 did not get off to a great start. It had horrible bugs in the firmware and thus didnt recieve any rave reviews, but now after a series of rom updates, the phone is up to marvelous standards. And I can only immagine that there are better things to come.

Perhapse we should start a petition for nokia to revive the now discontinued Series 90 name.

                            Regards.

Thanks for the update Amit, thats a really useful list. The upgrade is worth it for the the ability to get phone numbers from SMS messages alone as far as I'm concerned. Hope you like the phone.

Jaykidd, sent you an e-mail. What part of the world are you in? I can find no mention of 4.50.0 in relation to the 7710 anywhere and all the pay download sites I can find are offering 4.01 as their latest offering. Where did you get it from as I have checked everywhere for it (I have checked a few hundred links) and I'm a bit mistified as to why Nokia would release a 4.5 version in your part of the world last month and only just release a 4.01 version to what appears to be the rest of the world. I have e-mailed Nokia UK in regard to this, but I'm not holding my breath.

You have to install .jar files through file manager (double click on them) as it says on page 27 of the user manual. Only .sis files can be installed through application manager. You may need the .jad file (it basically says whats in the .jar).
