Anonymous, 14 Oct 2019Nope, Xiaomi is overpriced everywhere except India and a ha... moreWith Nokia 8.1's current pricing here in South East Asia, it's main contender in Xiaomi's counterpart would be the Mi 9T 6/128GB (which is even a bit cheaper) pricewise. It's only Nokia that still offers eMMC storage for their 8.1's price-point, it's ridiculous. It seems as though they can't secure high-end SoCs in bulk together with UFS storage and AMOLED displays and just sells whichever they can secure at the moment.

I worked at a smartphone shop they only provided us 30 percent of our demand order. They want to create a sold out that's kinda hot scenario. Market manipulation. It's a good tactic though.

I've no idea why they'd make this phone when Nokia 7 Plus is better and cheaper than it.
