I bought this phone 2nd hand, 3 months of usage and I must say its a brilliant phone that's underrated, running Android 9 is great upgrade from last phone, screen brightness is very easily adjusted, sound is very loud at full volume if watching videos so about 75% volume is plenty enough if in quiet environment, Bluetooth for car connection is faultless so far, finger print reader was new feature for me to experience, its located at the front bottom of phone which is very convenient and quick enough most of the time to unlock the phone. Battery charging takes about 75 mins from 10% to 95%, I get a day and half with moderate usage,overall I'm happy to experience a smartphone from Nokia again,brings back memories of the 3210 yrs :-) I'd definitely be looking at upgrading to another Nokia in few years time

SOLUTION: ask nokia to replace the battery of your device.

Dont buy nokia, as I am facing lot of issues. I bought the phone just 1.5 yrs back and almost 3 months back strated the major issues. If battery is 42% or less and if you try to open Camera, phone will switch off. 2nd issue is if u play any video , voice clip or any other online video, the sound will be flickering..many times I approach nokia support team and they couldnt solved yet and finally they told me to do factory reset and I am planning to do it. So my opinion is dn buy nokia 8. I paid around around 375$ and now I am suffering with this .....

This phone is good nice design with good battery and great design and I know it's not having some key features of other flagships but still it offers a good chipset and my device has no such purple issue around my screen

mhmd, 14 Feb 2020fingerprint is bad ,screen edges some times with red or pur... moreTurn on blue light filter and set the intensity to the minimum value. Purplish or reddish tint around the edges will be gone. This worked for me.

After just 6 months of use the phone restarts every now and then and has this stuttering sound. I checked online and almost everybody complains about the same problems. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE IT IS TOTAL RUBBISH. I am actually done with Nokia I am never going near any of their phones ever again.

fingerprint is bad ,screen edges some times with red or purple colour ,battery is good ,coverage network is worse than another phones ,good in applications and gaming this my opinon after two years using

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2020How can i replace the battery. Its a build in battery?Take it to a Nokia authorized service center and ask them to replace the battery. You can do it yourself by watching a tutorial and right equipments, but the option 1 is a little better.

Ok, a few months ago, this was a great phone for me. All the great reviews cover up the bad ones however. This phone is great for short term, but as others have also seen, about a year in it starts getting freezes and stutters. I was perfectly fine with this until today. When I picked my phone up and turned it on half of the screen was static. You cannot fix it.

Well I don't have any issues with my battery as at now since 2018. The quick charge enables me to spend little time on charging.

The battery issue is due to the degration of Li-ion battery which results in a decrease of peak voltage of the battery which can be defined as a hardware defect. If your device restarts randomly or when you open camera or play a heavy game, that means the battery can't keep up with the processor. HMD can TEMPORARILY fix the issue by throttling the defective device like Apple does to their old devices. But the REAL SOLUTION would be REPLACING the battery.

Hey guys. An update is now available. I am just curious if updates can fix the battery issue? Like putting limits orvso whatever just to not push the battery too hard. I just noticed that this battery/restart issue occur at the same time after the last update.

Up to 1 year of usage no problems except 1 small minor issue actual problems started after using 1 year 2 months mobile is restarting frequently some times it is getting worser when I open apps like camera,bluetooth not connecting and while watching videos sound is breaking really irritated about nokia8 i thought to use it for two or more years but these problems forcing me to change mobile so what is the use of opting nokia brand instead going for cheap mobiles even battery charging also taking 3 and half hours before it use to charge in jst two hours.I thought to continue with nokia brand but i dropped now so please nokia improve trust on your brand otherwise again it falls to 0
