Up to 1 year of usage no problems except 1 small minor issue actual problems started after using 1 year 2 months mobile is restarting frequently some times it is getting worser when I open apps like camera, bluetooth not connecting and while watching videos sound is breaking really irritated about nokia8 i thought to use it for two or more years but these problems forcing me to change mobile so what is the use of opting nokia brand instead going for cheap mobiles even battery charging also taking 3 and half hours before it use to charge in jst two hours.I thought to continue with nokia brand but i dropped now so please nokia improve trust on your brand otherwise again it falls to 0

Bought this Nokia in 2018 when my S7 edge's display got shattered due to a drop. Then i used the device as my main phone for about 16 months. Used the phone a lot, played games like pubg, mc5 and etc.

Then after buying a Galaxy S10, I didn't need to use demanding apps on the Nokia.

But the real reason behind my battery health still being good must be the fact that I only charge my devices to 75-80% max. Accubatery claims charging only to 80% will increase the lifespan of a regular Li ion battry by 400%.

I've been trying to tell this within this forum multiple times. But seems like no one really cared LOL

So what does this "cooling pipes they say" for? A flagship specs phone but can olny do light tasks, that's dreadful.

hehe, 19 Jan 2020How do you use your phone? Are you a hardcore, light or mid?Used to be a heavy user, charging twice a day. But now I use the phone only for calls, texting and music. Still use the device a lot, but not demanding tasks which heats up the phone.

The battery degradation issue must be due to the use of some lower quality batteries.

                But personally,
I've never faced any issues yet, my battery health is still at 90%. Now it's been almost 2 years since i started using this Nokia 8.
As a reference, my iphone 7 is just 1 year old and it's battery health is at 90%. So in my case, Nokia 8 has a better quality battery than my iphone.

Software-wise, Nokia 8 should've recieved a camera update which HMD said they're working on, but never came out. But the Google Camera takes excellent shots with this hardware.

That phone still works. The only issue with that one is the struggle running games, but somehow playable. While this nokia 8 i can play anything but only last about 6 months. Is that how flagship phone should be? HMD better work harder with their phones not just physical durability but in their hardware/softwares too.

Except that, nothing to worry about. If you face any random restart issue or speaker sound problems, go ahead and replace the battery. Don't replace the motherboard as some stupid repair shops say.

I'm using this phone for 2 years now, didn't encounter any issue yet.

I bought this in October / November 2017 as they used to be really good phones.
I thought it was a great phone when new, I had a glitch with the volume (Nokia were NO help when I emailed them), but the next software update seemed to fix it.
Two years on, after experiencing a period of many months of random turn offs and random reboots (it has not done this recently), the battery life has dropped substantially. New, the battery would last nearly two days on a full charge, now from filly charged first thing, it is down to about 20% by late afternoon.
I dropped the phone the other day and cracked the screen (still works), Nokia are quoting £170 to replace the screen! Needless to say, a new phone looks more sensible.
My next phone will NOT be a Nokia, and it will be a long time before I buy another one!

Tee, 26 Dec 2019The phone is a good quality phone but has longevity issues.... moreBTW i mostly agree to your comment. But I've been using this phone since 2018 February. I'm not facing any issues yet :)

Your device should be fine after installing a new battery.
