Very disappointed in the Nokia 8. I have problems when charging the phone. It charges intermittently. Been in for repairs twice already since I got the Nokia 8 on 16 March 2018. Always have been a Nokia fan, but I am extremely disappointed in this phone.

I am so confused on whether to buy Xperia XZ1 or Nokia 8. I am a very light user, camera very rarely used.
I want a phone which is sturdy, with good no of updates given.

Nokia known for its sturdy phones and they still continue to produce sturdy phones that CAN SURVIVE MULTIPLE FALLS, at an affordable price. This one of those rare phones that give a 2K display at a price lower than 30k. Many reviewers say a 2K display is overkill for a relatively small phone but believe me the color density is far superior than the 1k display. The phone is awesome overall but there is a REALLY SERIOUS CON about this phone:
The back has ABSOLUTELY ZERO GRIP and since the EDGES ARE CURVED INWARD it causes SEVERE STRAIN in your hand. So a case with a good grip is a MUST. Preferably a rubber-silicone transparent case that doesn't ruin the looks of the phone. AND while buying the case LOOK for cases that DONT COVER THE BUTTONS or have button covers with not much thickness. I'm saying this because since the edges are curved inward the buttons also are slightly inward so most cases will fail to connect with the buttons and you will have a hard time pressing the buttons which will cause another kind of hand pain.
Another con is that SELFIES ARE MIRRORED and there's no way to change that other than manual editing. The option 'Save image as previewed' which is available in most phones is absent. And since the image processing of the Nokia Camera app SUCKS you need to download a Google Camera port which is available readily in internet. (Its called "GCMod5")
To get fully satisfied with this phone you REALLY BADLY NEED A GRIPPY CASE. There are so many pros for this mobile though. But what I'm really impressed with is the Front Fingerprint Sensor. Unlike the back fingerprint sensor of many phones this will detect your finger even when there's sweat on your finger as it is incorporated onto the screen. It is so damn accurate.
Bottomline: This phone is a no-brainer buy at this price range PROVIDED you buy a grippy case along with it or else you'll have to suffer till the next delivery date.

Not bad for cheap phone, screen scratched after two weeks, i even do not know how it happened. It looks like that every next Nokia make device worst and worst. I think that next phone will be something better in case of material quality.

Awful Customer service from Nokia. Phone unuseable due to microphone problem. People cannot hear you speak without loads of noise wherever you go. Nokia not interested and blame it on the signal. Even previous phone works fins. Hideous. Avoid.

But present Nokia camera quality is not great always only few times we get best results it's due to software it's had 7 months I'm using till their upgrade camera firmware and sad thing has big issue with focus lock.. hope soon their fix all these things in pro camera because those people who buyed it when release day like me already crossed half life warranty but not happy with camera hope their atleast fix camera issues... If you want to know genuine feedback's from Nokia 8 user's better to study.... Nokia community forum OFFICIAL

I... moreI am not the owner of Nokia 8 but I read many articles and YouTube videos and come to the conclusion that Nokia 8 (2017) is better than Nokia 7 Plus.The only place where Nokia 7 Plus excel display types 18:9 panel and battery efficiency.But Nokia 8 (2017) having a QHD very sharp display and very competent camera front as well as back.Portrait pictures taken by Nokia 8 is among the best.And Overall performance of Rear and Front camera is very good and better than Nokia 7 Plus.Nokia 8 (2017) having liquid cooling system and is very useful features if you are a hard-core gamer your Phone will not heatup and will perform throughout without compromising chepset performance (due to heating the chepset will downgrad it's clock speed).Liquid cooling feature is very useful for the battery health.Nokia 8(2017) is available at 28K only due to its older types of display 16:9 aspects ratio.But QHD display on Nokia 8 (2017) is very sharp and among the best display and is better than most of the Amoled display viewing angle and sunlight readibility is at the top notch.
