Mine arrived a few days ago. It has good spevs, perfect amount of storage and runs quickly. Build feels nice, not too light and has a nice smooth feel to it.

Nova launcher (pro version) - to customize the looks
Mx/VLC/Kmp - to watch movies
Es explorer (pro version) - not necessary, but it can improve the file browsing experience
SwiftKey - in case you don't like G board
It's ANDROID thankfully. You own your phone, you decide which apps you have in your phone.
And by the way stock android may be the reason why nokia 8 is faster than Samsung galaxy s8.
One thing to remember, there's something with the RAM management. Sometimes apps get closed in the background if you don't use it for sometime. I mean like for example, if you pause a game and minimize the app and when you try to restart it after a few hours, it might get refreshed (without going directly into the place where you paused the game). And i think it's done to save the batery. And the batery management is better than most androids i think.
Let's say you sleep with like 85% batery, it'll remain at like 83% or 82% due to the batery management feature.
It's not annoying(not for me) bcos i play online multiplayer games most of the times and they cannot be paused right? ;)
And don't worry, apps won't get closed when your frequently swtiching between them or when your using them... It's something like a smart app closing system to save batery sort of thing...

In the... moreLTE - A (A for Advanced) is a developed version of 4G i think. Here in my country LTE speeds are limitted to like 100mbps. So i couldn't get to experience the 450/50 (downlink/uplink) speeds.
And I'm still not sure if I understand your question well. But I'm pretty sure 3CA is something realted to LTE-A and not related to GSM. It might be something related to internet speed capability and i think it's very fast :D

You'll probably need a launcher (I'm using Nova launcher pro version) to customize the phone to your liking. Google photos is the galery app, google music is the music player. Es file pro is the one I'm using as a file explorer. Snapseed is good for photo editing on the go. SwiftKey replaced the default keyboard. :) Stock android is very fast. Hiccups and stutters are very rare is there are any.

I've got pro versions of nova launcher and es file explorer. Everything is working fine for me. #stock androing performs really well. Plus we get monthly security patches sometimes even before pixel devices

I don't listen to music much, so don't need a fancy music player. Basic Gallery option is fine for me.
I use my phone for few calls, few hours of Whatsapp & Clash of Clans. Other than that my usage is very less. So does the basic apps will do the work for me?

No gallery inbuilt
no music player inbuilt
screen mirror not available for standard TV
car audio blue tooth not fully supported
no swipe calling function
quit camera startup difficult
poor customer support
dual whatsapp not possible
no picture editor
i brought the mobile and i am not satisfy
you can buy only for camera and other options waste

In the specification of the phone, Network > Speed > HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A (3CA) Cat9 450/50 Mbps. It says 3CA what is this and how useful is this.
