Carol, 18 Feb 2018Hmm, 40 is kind of to much for normal use, that's not good.... moreForce all of the app to stopped, the CPU is around 35-38°C and i don't feel the back warm up.

Carol, 18 Feb 2018Hmm, 40 is kind of to much for normal use, that's not good.... moreMy phone have about a hundred app that include google apps and lots of them are running in background so i think thats the reason why my phone is around 40 and the battery drains quickly, so i'll gonna force stop those app and see if the CPU temp decrease.

Carol, 18 Feb 2018Hmm, 40 is kind of to much for normal use, that's not good.... moreOne can't cool an object under the temperature of the environment & under that of the cooling agent. So if the room temperature is into the 30+ Celsius, saying "26-30 is normal..." is setting an unreasonable expectation. Air-based cooling has no chance to reduce the temperature of the DEVICE, let alone that of the CPU itself, below room temperature. Any other improvement on top of a fan would basically be a refrigerator or AC, to reduce room temperature...

Maybe some DIY project, 3D print a case to hold a small USB-powered fan and the phone? A CNC-milled heatsink would help too. This is not a reasonable solution, I know - I'm planning to do this for my old S2 I9100, to turn it into a mobile hotspot of sorts (phone + heatsink + fan + powerbank). It is, however, not an impossible one.

Even less during long standby times (night). Maybe you should check your apps if any of them are hoging up the cpu. Reasearch in internet (if you find something about the suspicious ones. But, if you did not format the device. I would do a format... This can fix a lot of buggs. If everythin is done and still so hot, i would take it back if i were you. But for me it sounds like a proccess/service is eating your resources.

                  B. Thien, 18 Feb 2018Yeah i always leave my phone in a corner and let it charge ... moreWell, then you have to understand what this heatpipe actually does. Their is a huge cofusion among people who do not understand. The heatpipe has to further send heat from CPU to whatever...somewhere else. In smartphone case, to it's "nearest" location. Meaning, the phone itself, a metal phone will actually (mathematicaly speaking) have to heat more then a plastic one, just cause it has a faster way (better way) to release heat...through it's body. Now i do not say it is notmal for nokia 8. Cause mine never heats up, not a bit. So check your temps with some apps from store (they actualy work) and post them here. What is important, is that the cpu is cool enough to not lag.

But then again, i do not play computer games on it. The battery life playing games like that sgould be around 4 Hours on screen, maximal 6. I do not think there is a phone that can pass that. Anyway when plaxing heavy games you should actually be carefully, the battery goes to h**l way more sooner. So do not play when charging. Also, let it from time to tim.breath, if you want a good battery after 12 mounts.

I'm using this one right now and it's good, but the polished blue color has the back very easy to scratch, it just took me a week in a half to leave scratches on it even though i'm keeping it carefully, also i'm facing with heat issue when i play heavy games and it drains the battery quickly (i'm live in Vietnam and it's about 34-35°C in here and i don't have an AC). I wonder if it's a manufacturer's fault or not...

NOKIA 8 is a big step forward for nokia company. Suitable specifications for any one, and offcourse dont miss the big jump for nokia company for finally changing to android system. Moreover it has a good processor SNAPDRAGON 835 with 6GB of RAM, but I wish if Nokia could change from OLED SCREEN to SUPER AMOLED SCREEN.

Damn. I fall in love with this phone after release in Indonesia. Nokia 8 is the second beast with Snapdragon 835 after LG V30+. I want to buy it. Now i have to save my money again for this one. I know camera and display is descent, but it's ok for me.
