I got the Oreo 8.1 yesterday after a weeks wait since announcement. My one is TA 1052.
GREAT NOKIA.
I appreciate their fast updates.
Nokia is the best now.
Believe they will capture the market again

Xiaomi Mi6 6/128 ($513+-) non official/gray importer
which one between those 2 the best device for daily driver (reliable with less chance of sudden bootloop)? in a condition that i don't have any plan to root/ unlock bootloader/ installing custom rom and just use the stock rom with maybe using Nova as a launcher

It's a true value for money, Using this beast since December 2017, great experience so far, Snapdragon 835, splash resistant, dual 13mp Carl Zeiss lens camera, solid build.
Just update to the latest Oreo. Everything is butter smooth.
Nokia will surely dominate the market within a year or two, will reclaim it's Glory.

Nokia 8 is very solid quality and the best bang for the buck. You will always got latest update from google.

its interesting that google camera doesn't use the monochrome sensor to improve quality but it takes much better pictures than the stock camera app!

Just got steel one yesterday.
Best value for money, all rounder. Actually I'm not a fan of stock Android. But seems now it's much better than those old days. No more white balance issue like Lumia 1020. A good move from that phone as daily driver...
