Desperately waiting for a pricecut. This phone is available here for more than 400 euro, after more than a year of availability... too expensive. Hope it will be cheaper once the EOS hits the marktet. I want either this Phone or the EOS. When this phone will be much cheaper, I will go for this.

Been using pureview for past 10 months and I still don't feel like changing it ...even when I see my brother using iphone 5..but the stereo speaker and camera and screen visibility inder the sun blows me so much....love my pureview.. Would love to go for Nokia EOS ...looks like 808 PUREVIEW finally got its worthy competetor..

Carol and ziad,
my zombie land experience continued again.
Went into a day long meeting of 30 people and after the meeting clicked a photo and sent it to the group.
Just in 10 min almost everyone was on my seat asking which camera I used in the meeting to click photo since none was carrying point and shoot.
When I told it was mobile that took the photo, they were blown away, what a look on their faces. When I told it is a 41 mp sensor they were shocked again. Nobody had heard about it till this moment.
Feels like I am all alone in this droidland. But it does not bothers me. I know what jewel I am holding in my hand.

If not, then i understand your words. Allot of times my n8 proved more smooth then an android device not just once, but allot of times. While belle fp2 devices are 2 times more powerful then N8. So, 808 in terms of speed and reliability is better or equal with galaxy s2 dual core device. BUT in terms of reliability i can say that is better then android, way better. I never had my n8 cracking every 2 hours cause of an app and the story goes further. But i've seen allot of android's freezing while playing games or whatever on it, while surfing, while listening to music etc. So, android is not that great as people make it sound.

Hi guys, i am a fellow 808 user and have been following this space for quite some time. Like most of the people here i am also a Nokia loyalist and can never stand the cheap Korean devices. However, one thing i seem to have realized is that 808 is actually a great portable camera device that can also do things that other phones can do. What lacks in a 808 (in terms of a phone) is the fluidity/refinement/issueless experience that you get on other platforms.
I find so many of the 808 owners over here eulogizing the phone capabilities, i think it is just to fool ourselves with the thought that 808 is a highly capable/competitive phone, while the fact is that it is a great portable camera device that does most phone related functions not very badly..

and about EOS, I heard some rumors are talking about lacking the IOS, which if so it will be the killing shot for me, I'll never go for it if it will be less than 808 pureview in terms of camera........ I do know it will lack a lot of useful features like : FM transmitter, Usb on the go, file manager, real multitasking....but lacking some thing Like IOS, then I will kiss my handset and give it big hug...cause it will be once in life time :)

I am from India, recently bought Nokia 808 Pureview White. The problem that I am facing is that I can't get 3.5G signal while accessing internet on it, it shows just 3G and both sided arrow under 3G. I use Airtel 3G sim with 3G internet pack, but when I use my older C7 for accessing web, it shows me 3.5G with both sided arrow, can anyone please help me to solve this problem???

In situation like this in which the subject is in constant movement, there is bound to be focussing issue.Here the leaves were constantly moving because of wind.And here where OIS advantage comes into picture which i wish 808 had.I hope the upcoming EOS does have OIS for both stills and video.

Thanks for watching my video, and you are absolutely right about stabilizing the video, but I just wanna to show how it preforms in the real life....
you know a lot of wind... how the blur works for further objects and a lot of movement targets.
