After the update social can be uninstalled. Also do some heavy tests without memory card. So, first take out memcard, restart and dosome heavybteats in 3'5g network. If something if everything is ok, put it bac, restart and do the same. See if you occur any slowdowns in system before and after. Also, social is always opened in background. If you don't use it, delete it. Restart and see if everything is back to normal. Music player update and sms update are not using the network in background. So it may be this social who makes the problems

This is the best phone you can get right now. Best camera phone for the upcoming 5 years + you have everything you need, Email, Internet access and many more stuff that you need and don't need. People are being really dumb about the apps now a day, also you don't need a super screen on your phone, I will tell you what you need and that is a huge LED screen to see your awesome pictures!
People are really stupid now a days, they are being brainwashed by the media. why the hell will you buy a phone that won't even last you a year?, also you need a cover and a screen protector because it will break or scratch easily. Don't compare other phone to Nokia phones I find it offensive hahaha

As usual they reinstall the firmware after erasing... for first few hours phone was OK I was using Store to download apps & watching hd video on youtube with HSPA enabled...
I was logged in using nokia account in store app but not from the first screen when it ask for universal sign-in...
I search for updates and found three updates 1. Nokia Music, 2. Social, 3. SMS Update (Don't know about this one)
I downloaded all it ask for restart I did... but when phone started this time I logged in using nokia account at first prompt it showed that this will used with Nokia Music, Map, Store & one more app I didn't remember after clicking continue bang... same thing screen black button lit so i removed battery & restarted again... wallah as soon as data network show connected again hanged... third time restarted & first disable HSPA...
after using half an hour on 3G network I enabled HSPA again & download some apps but it is working without hanging from few hours & god knows how long it will... this time I'm installing apps in Memory Card (32GB Class10) may some difference will come from this action...
Please tell me is this a Hardware issue or it can be fixed with software update later... otherwise I'll ask Nokia Care to replace it, but it will take 10-15 days if they will agree to do that becz without this phone has no problem in normal operation...

Maybe it's faulty connection through some network providers and the phone. I don't know why this happen. Anyway, this bug or will be solved through an update or they have the fix and you habe to take the phone to them. Keep us up to date. It is good that evrything else went to normal. Now we wait fir Nokia Care answer.:)

Nokia should start making cameras instead of phones... Even if they pack a phone with 100mp.. It doesn't change the fact that the phone is more of a camera than a smartphone....
Nokia maybe a 3310 phone with 1000mp will be wonderful...

I figured it out why my phone was hanging, actually it is know issue with this phone on 3.5G/HSPA network, check this url:

same thing is happening with me too...
no matter which application u are using as soon as your phone will start using 3.5G, screen goes black & buttons remain lit, then I need to remove the battery...
thanks Carol becz after reinstalling firmware using Nokia sute my camera become very smooth & it is not crashing while switching still to video... I've disabled HSPA & believe me man there is no problem with this phone....
so I've fixed an appointment with Nokia Care to fix this problem...

yesterday i went to see a theatre performance and i took some videos and they have come so damn gud that i really donno what else to say. Really worth it !! I mean seriously i havent seen anything like that. I came back and played the videos on lappy and its amazing. I was sitting near the speakers and was bit skeptic about the audio o/p but there wasnt a single distortion. It's now that I have realised what rich recording means.
I hangout on weekends and like to capture the gudtimes. But never really had gr8 camera. This is exactly what i have been looking for.
I really feel sorry for all the trolls out there for what they are missing in there life, who jus fall for big advertisements. True innovation!!

It's kinda hard to manipulate with one hand and it's like your holding a scientic calculator.. Hahaha weird.. it's all over the places and people are getting too hooked about it. But man 808 lacks of promotion because nokia is moving now to windows phone.. You can tell the the materials in 808 is rich, the phone is bulky but not quite far off and the hump can help you rest your finger so it's not about the design if only people get their hands on it.. :)

Imagine this phone has puremotion hd plus display, amoled ~332ppi, belle feature pack 3; 1.5 GH quad core snapdragon processor, same gpu for imaging and hd video recording, rich recording, optical image and video stabilization, open source, shock and water proof, 2300 mah user replaceable battery, 32gb of internal memory with expandable micro sd slot up to 64gb. Wow It will be a dream. :-) haha my next phone however would be lumia 920 but i'm gonna keep this. ^^
I just love nokia.I love the build quality of their phones ever since they brought 5110, 3310, 6600, 6630, n73, n95, n8 (though i haven't use it) and of course the c7 the sexiest phone ever.. These phones certainly kick ass in their time.. :)

I mean...the S3 became too common....almost everybody owns an S3 which gives the phone a cheap look...no offense...however the S3's design is totally slimmer and thats why the 808 looses the sales

I found the reason of freezing & verified it last night...

Its a known issue, whenever my phone uses 3.5G for any thing it hangs... means as soon as it start using HSPA...
Screen goes black & 3 button LED remain lit... No matter what application u are using it will hang....
So I've disabled my High Speed Data Packet & phone is working fine, I can have only 3G(386Kbps) in this way...
Do you use your phone with HSPA & it works fine with 3.5G... please tell because all 808 has this issue...
And yes somebody is stretching his mouth very badly, so let me answer him also... thanks man
