Perfect is though that you can easily swap the battery on the road when needed.

i updated my 808 to FP2 today, one thing i noticed that when i record video with video stabilization ON in any mode (1080p or 720p or 360p) while zooming thru volume key its zooming frame by frame and it's clearly visible and when i turned OFF the video stabilization OFF its better and the zooming looks better, i didn't noticed this before the FP2 update, is this normal in 808, any one experienced this kind of issue while zooming slowly thru volume keys
          please anyone clarify my query.

AnonD-68672, 06 Oct 2012Yes i already use macro mode & also tried to zooming us... moreFinally its works perfectly with detail shot using macro 8MP mode with zooming a bit. Thanks to ppnuwan for this trick
I need to press capture button & hold it by hover to the earth until it focused well, then moving camera to the lemon fruit with very same distance & release the capture button and here it is, perfectly shot. :) a bit tricky but its finally proved possible.
                * actually its not pepper fruit like im mentioning earlier, its is lemon fruit lol.. :p

Hold on tight nokia fans because Nokia decided to sell their HQ in Finland. Here is a piece of news...
Nokia suddenly decided to sell its HQ in Espoo, Finland. Media reports say that this decision was part of the intention to get rid of non-core assets. Nokia’s representatives confirmed that their company is considering various options for non-core assets, including real estate holdings like headquarters.
The experts from the estate agency believe that Nokia’s well appointed glass and steel building which features its own hot and cold running water can be sold for up to $390,000,000. The only problem here is that it is unclear where Nokia’s employees, including the accountants and executives, will be able to gather and have meetings to practice their use of buzzwords. The joke of the industry observers is that if the IT executives are deprived of the ability to use such words and phrases as paradigm, problem solutions, long-term perspective, or leverage buyouts in the company of their peers, then they get serious problems with their health.
As you can understand, Finland is a bit nippy to allow the company to hold management meetings outside, especially in winter months, despite the fact that making a snowman would be a great team building exercise. The experts believe that the smartphone maker might move its headquarters to somewhere cheaper in the United States to be closer to Microsoft.
The recent event show that Nokia has been trying to improve its financial situation by significant job cuts and other desperate efforts, but it seems that it would end up with selling the family silver. At the moment, Nokia has more than 120,000 employees across 120 countries, and sells its devices in 150 countries. The company is currently the world’s 2nd-largest cell phone maker in the world after Samsung.

dieed, 11 Oct 2012how to re flash the nokia 808? because after the update my... moreDieed..
Use windows 7 to redownload, because win 7 is more stable and faster for internet connection, so your download file has little chance to be corrupt.
If you use win 7 before, and maybe your data was corrupted, you can delete that corrupted data at c:\program data\nokia\nokia suite\nossu2\variants\products\rm-807.
If you not delete that firmware data, nokia suite will not download the new one, and will install same firmware data,, still.
And if you delete that data, nokia suite will download the new one.
                          Good luck..

i want this phone but the phone is not avialable in any shop in my town even nokia priority centres dont have which is shame for nokia. i think the reason behind it is they dont want to sell symbian phone to show their decision of making windows phone os as main smartphone platform is right and they decision of discontinuance of symbian and meego is right. the way Nokia market share is falling and wp sell is not getting up pace , its quite easy to predict that Nokia can't survive beyond 2016 ( last year for symbian as Nokia announced).

Just got my 808 two days ago..and recieved FP2 update yesterday. This phone is stunning. This is an excellent handset...it's hard to believe Nokia is not developing Nokia/Symbian much more. I've used Android and Apple and they both are very good OSes with thier strengths and weaknesses. I also been seriously considered the Lumia 920, but this one take them all--minus apps avaiability. I"m sure down the road I'll be using a Nokia/WP device....when I wear our my 808 Pureview.
