I went in for my upgrade earlier and Vodashop did not have any stock of the 808pv.Phoned other two stores they didn't have any stock.Seems to me they only order the stock at their customers request. So now I'm only getting my 808 on Tuesday. And I'm like a little kid a few days before Christmas,I can't wait.

But at the end people should chose on what they need, not what others say. And you are right, nokia is doing some stupid "work". Hopefully they will wake up. But until then... with this device they showed they are still kings when comes to innovation. SGH3, for me, is only a quad-core pad. Not a very interesting gadget... I've experienced enough Internet and gaming speed on my rig. Nothing new for me. No innovation, nothing new in camera, nothing new in battery, nothing new in build quality. Just a very expensive device. Even this isn't that new:)))

In fact,Nokia did an outstanding job to manage 1080p video recording on a single core which no one could achieve before.BUT the reality is that the SIII is simply a masterpiece of its own league together with the One X.
                      Try one you'll enjoy it.
Of course I would prefer buying a galaxy Nexus for 350 US Dollars than an S3 for 700 US or a 808 for about 500 US.
Nokia took the wrong decision in fading Symbian Belle OS which is in fact excellent except for the HUGE lack of HD apps.

Until now, only nokia proved that they create and inovate. And, at least until now, they were investing allot of money on research, not so much in advertisement. They create smartphones in a multi-gadeget form not a multi-core...When i see this in other phones (not just Android here , android there, the system is just 20% of the gadget and not vice-versa) maybe i consider them to:)

I know some things about photography so you don't need to tell me what matters in a camera. For you, the sensor. For photographers: The Lenses, the pixels than the sensor. The more pixels, the more sharp photos, especially needed when editing. The better lenses the better picture overall. So is not just the sensor, isn't it?! The only difference between 808 and a retail camera is the lack of optic lenses and zoom. But Carl Zeiss has done a good job in this phone;)

Beautiful phone. I know why I bought it, for the pictures. & it does a great job. Nice design, not-too-girly weight, quite the manly device. I think that's enough for me. Apps are secondary.

amita batcha, 28 Aug 2012friends, please answer me , which phone is better samsung s... moreWhen comes to gadgets, leave the frustrated comments behind. There are allot of unknowing people thinking that the only good device is the one they own, hating in left and right, having no clue what technology is. First you have to think what would you need and like to have! What are your day by day phone demandings? How much you afford to pay and what device is the best for you in that price category. Nokia pureview is an awesome smartphone. There are allot of people that don't know how to use a smart, that's why they always complain. If you like taking real pictures, this is the only smartphone camera bitting n8's (iphone is not even close, believe me! Forcing colors to be brighter and putting allot of sharpness straight from default settings is just for amateurs, in fact the phone it self is for amateurs). 808 camera is crazy. At it's specs with symbian belle is more than enough for smooth UI. Has plenty apps in store. Has good signal (is nokia) has good battery. Is not to big, not to small. Material build quality is premium. So, overall is a very good buy, when you think of the all functionalities that this gadget has. SGH3 is not so dumb either. For nokia lovers, samsung should stay in wash-machines market, that's my opinion to. But... overall is not such a bad phone. Ok... the material quality is very cheap for an 700$ gadget and the phone functions in samsung gadgets are not their strenght, but... the SGH3 is quite good when using as a pad. But.. BATTERY BATTERY BATTERY. A quad-core is not a battery friendly and neither that screen (a smartphone does not need quads. Here is where technology comes in. We need good and lasting not very fast and dying. Nokia is doing a good job balancing all the functions in their smartphones(more then 30 years of experience says something here)Samsung its trying to force (and is quite near to succeed) the market to buy their phones because of the high-speed hardware. Is kind of what intel has done at the beginning of 2000 with their intel4 processors. Allot of speed, allot of waste. AMD was more stable and smooth in gaming and many more others with 1ghz less. I really don't understand what is Samsung thinking when they make this phones. Allot of blind horsepower under a cheap plastic hood. Not such a brilliant idea. But... as i was saying, is not such a bad phone and people are buying, so that's all that matters for samsung. But what matters for you? Is your choice. If you need internet browsing, gaming, allot of apps, eye-candy interface, slim-body and you are not so bothered by battery and other functions as a phone then Sgh maybe a good buy to. But when it comes to phones i will always pick nokia first:)

This is because of the excellent features and performance that you described.

In fact, the 2 years old Nokia N8 is still relevant now, especially after getting update to the Belle Refresh OS. Even the old Nokia 5800XM, E72, E71 or the older models are still being used around the world, because they are good, practical, and durable.

On the other hand, Many other OEMes are keep producing new phones every day, every week, every month with a lot of variants and models. The consequence of this would be: any of their phones could be easily outdated shotly after purchased from store.

We have found that the introduction of One X, 4X, SIII, and XiaomiM2, has made the mighty S1, S2, Desire, and Sensation became a medium phones in a very short time. Well, this is just an observation, no offense please.
