sgs3 was dissapointment,808 is still the most interesting device nowadays,pureview technology is the greatest innovation of the century so far of all mobile phones,must buy now

This phone is for camera geeks and lovers only ... any gamers or app lovers go get any quad dual cores android phone :D the pureview is for people who respect innovation and photography :))) getting the white one sooon :)

success depends only on marketing. im sure nokia 808 is going to be the one of the biggest flop. 808 will not release worldwide ( not in US - the biggest market for smart phones). Sales of windows phone is better than symbian and the only reason behind it is marketing. lets compare these two oses,
1. multitasking - symbian is way better in miltitasking (even much better than android and ios) unlike useless only 5 task multitasking on windows phone.
2.multimedia- symbian supports best camera app with 1080 p video recording ( in pureview 808) and large variety of audio video support unlike windows phone zune player ( need to syncronise and convert video and audio from pc to zune).
3. connectivity - with symbian you can get bluetooth 3.0 with no restrictoins allows file sharing , data sharing , headset and etc, wifi with wifi hotspot, USB on the go , HDMI output, TV -out, NFC - highly intregeted in symbian suppots nfc multiplayer gaming , FM- transmitter on the other hand windows phone 7 has bluetooth 2.1 with no data and file sharing. nfc with limited functionality, no USB on the go , no FM transmitter, no HDMI, no TV - out, wifi with hotspot.
4.customisation - symbian supports multiple homescreens, widgets , themes , wallpaper, different lockscreen, different homescreen launchers as well as custom rom is also avialable for symbian ( symbian us now a open source os ). with wp7 you can rearrange the live tiles and change wallpapers.
5. internet- symbian stock browser has html5 support and flash lite 4 compared to only html5 and no flash suppot on windows phone's internet explorer. browser on windows phone 7 is certainly faster and smoother but symbian stock browser is more funtional and you can download third party web browsers like opera and netflix which can be as smooth as
windows phone internet explorer.
8. apps - both has almost same number of apps but numbers for windows phone is increasing very fast ( due to high support and marketing) compared to symbian ( nokia already has no plan for symbian in future which makes developers out of interest).
9. conclusion- windows phone sales has increasing even after loosing almost every battle agains symbian.

hi guys .. one mandatory question for me
can i print images taken with the pureview 5mp with the same size as a 12mp camera without pixelation ?? or i have to switch to 38mp mode ??
say for example i used to print 12mp n8 shots in 50x40 cm prints in what mode i can print the same size ?

First of all I am happy to know that 808 will be released in India.Yesterday I have posted my opinion on GSM arena but they have not shown it so I post it here.First of all world community must make it mandatory for phones to have "STAR" rating as it is there for other electronic goods {along with SAR} for power consumption in which literally the android phones fail,only outward displays are gaining importance,now after ICS upgrade? the basic function of android phone has come near to Nokia otherwise the dialler was disappearing after first dialling was made.All apps are stable on my all versions of symbian phones,which is not the case in android apps.Most of the basic phone functions are sound and now Nokia has taken development of OS,like sliding task bar one can launch all basic needs at par like bluetooth,wifi etc.Nokia please continue your support to symbian,I appealed to you 2 years back also.I am eagerly waiting for 808 along with my N8.Thank you

Nokia is focusing on build quality, durability and camera performance. But the public focus shifted towards multimedia, screen resolution, connectivity and processing power. The 808 PureView is no doubt a marvelous piece of engineering for the present time, but it lack what people desire in a phone nowadays. It would have been an epic win if it would have had at least a dual core 1+ GHz processor, 1 Gb of Ram, better resolution display and 21 Mb/s HSDPA.

looks lik evry1 is confused regarding the camera on di... more808 Pureview uses a 41 MP sensor but the effective pixels used for capturing photo/video is 38 mp or 34 mp. You can take pics in native mode at 38 mp or 34 mp. Each file size will be 10 mb in size. Nokia recomends you take pics in PureView mode where the final image is stored in 3/5/8 mp coming to around 1 mb in size. See the below link, it explains the science behind the PureView technology.
