You cam try to download another one and install(uninstall the first and clean up it,s files). There could be some other problem like antivirus. Did you deactivated it while installing phoenix? I don, t know why but some pc,s need you to do that. You could try to reinstall it with antivirus off. Don,t use anything in internet in this period of instalation...

Symbian "as an OS" would be the best ever if 'Nokia' took care of it and kept developing and enhancing it instead of adopting Windows ecosystem, i can assert that it would be better than 'KitKat' at least.

The agreement and combination between Nokia and Microsoft destroyed the nature of NOKIA, THE REAL NOKIA.. connecting people.

as NOKIA 808 main disadvantage is design, button under screen is useless, they could expand screen size instead. The GPS is not provided with GLONASS. Video camera does not support HD, and secondary camera is VGA. Finally the internal storage is 16GB only, also Ram is 512MB only. Otherwise the phone is great.

                  Hi friends

I posted this discussion on Flickr 2 months ago, and I think it's a time to shift and look up for the next Camera monster

No one can deny that Nokia 808 Pureview and Lumia 1020 changes the mobile photography forever and show the whole world that we didn't know something about the camera phones and how Nokia sets a new era with the monster 808 Pureview and Lumia 1020 that forced the whole industry to focus on the camera section and give it more time

Nokia is the only company who fights the time to bring us the future technology now days...

I mean I never imagined that I'll handle a 41MP phone in my hand @ 2012, but dreaming has no limits, and thats Im writing this discussion and loved to share it with you right now

What we need in the next Pureview camera phone from Nokia :
                  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1- Bigger Sensor, Lumia managed the 1/1.5" BSI but I think that it will be very welcomed if Nokia gives us a 1/1.3" or 1./1.2" like Nokia 808 Pureview, I know that will result a bigger humb but I never mind it in the way we will get a better quality

2- ND filter, this peace of hardware was absolutely very useful for every one who used N8 and 808 Pureview, but we just missed it also for the size sake on the Lumia 1020, I think better waterfalls and night photos could be taken by the ND filter beside controlling the highlights in a
                  better way

3- Better OIS...IOS 2nd generation which used in Lumia 1020 is very good indeed comparing to the digital stabilization found on Xperia phones or Galaxy phones, but this is more obvious in the stills, videos captured by Lumia 1020 is more stable than it's rivals but this depends on the user and situation...beside the edges becomes very sensitive to shakes even more than the 1st generation of the OIS which not based on ball berries, Is this cause of the mechanism of 2nd generation or this may be cause of bigger sensor??

                  - I don't know but any way OIS 3rd generation combined with digital processing will be needed for the next chapter on the Pureview legend book!!

4- Faster continuous auto focus for the video with better exposure processing...Exposure shifting isn't that good while moving around right and left with your Lumia and I really hope Nokia will put an end to this

5- Post processing controlling...now we starts to pull deep and deep, WP OS has some goodies but some restrictions also, and one of this restrictions is

-How you built you camera app,

-How you write your algorithms, till any level it will be effective as it should

                  - How many number of features you can include in your camera app

in Lumia 1020 case, we lost a lot of things related to the software part like:

-Touch to focus during the video

                  - ability to apply effects filters on the spot like B&W, Sepia...etc!!

                  - 360p video recording

                  - various Pureview resolutions

We need the next device to offer all such important options, making our experience more reacher

6- ISO 50: Nokia 808 PV was a king in every aspect ratio if we come to the clarity of the photos and Zero noise results, just amazing, but not only the big pixels or the monster sensor + dedicated imaging chip was the reason...Nokia 808 Pureview hardware supporting ISO 50 and that's so professional indeed and allow us to take a real zero noise photos cause not all the times we need to use the ISO 100, sure it's so clear but still have the chance to collect noise berries over the ISO 50, Xperia Z1 and Z2 has ISO 50 and thats so good, but Lumia 1020 is waaaaaaaay better and more clearer even with it's ISO 100

7- Bigger Pixel: One of the reasons why Nokia 808 PV producing the most clear photos we have ever seen...it's huge pixel size

                  - but I'm not talking about the physical size which is 1.4 um, I'm talking about the Pureview photos which combines every 7 pixels in one huge pixel

Focus and and say be ready for the big WOW

                  - 8 MP oversampled is 3.07 um (great for a phone)

                  - 5 MP oversampled is 3.91 um (terrifying for a phone)

-2 MP oversampled is 4.89 um (unbelievable and science fiction)

as you saw this sizes are the biggest in the whole time of the humanity in a phone, so if we can get the next gen Pureview device with such sizes or even a little bit smaller...feel free to drop your jaw before even you will see this phone, best night photos will become better

7- Six Physical lengths...Sharp and crisp photos even at the night

8- Dedicated imaging chip...Nokia 808 PV has one and it's more powerful than any android flagship whole chipset you saw at 2012

                  - it can handle over 1 billion Pixel /s and the reason of the smooth video zooming and reframing...beside it allows 808 PV to record the 1080p resolution with it's only single core processor

                  - dedicated imaging chipset on the new Lumia Pureview will be a n excellent add and must be to help the GPU and the processor for better image processing beside a true oversampling with bigger pixel size rather than digital one.

                  9- Video part :

-Touch to focus during the video

                  - Controlling the flash light during the video,

                  - Controlling the exposure before recording

                  - Controlling the manual focus during the video

                  - Fixed WB and Exposure during the video recording

                  10- larger Focal length:
                  ---------------------------------

Nokia 808 PV has the largest focal among all phones, it's 8.02 mm
focal and thats deliver the best DOF effect that matches a mid range and some of High DSLRS specially in the PV mode and with some zooming...

                  - Lumia 1020 is a 6.60 mm focal length, the largest focal length if we not mention the 808 Pureview, but I really hope for larger one the next time and it will be around 7.5 or 7.2 mm...more DOF effect means more magical photos!!!

11- presets for saving our settings.

                  12- Raw support for sure.

13- 1080p 5" screen...seeing our photos on a vivid and bright screen is amazing!!

14- Further objects refocus option Like what found on HTC one M8...geeky but still a new option

15 Longer shutter time...imagine we have a 10-15 seconds on a phone...I know its impossible by now days terms but I'm really dreaming for more than 4s...still awesome for a phone.

16- bigger battery, Lumia 1020 battery drains very quickly while using the data and camera...I bought the DC-19 battery bank to help but a real battery performer is really very important.

17- Xenon Flash like 808 PV with accurate colors unlike Lumia 1020 which a lot of times produces a yellow tint...I don't love using the Xenon of Lumia 1020 cause of such reason.

                  18- HDR native support

                  19- 4K video recording capabilities

20- Ip 57-58 dust and water certification....Pureview under the water :')

                  I can't wait :D

Finally...We need the next Gen Pureview to produce more reality colors, 808 Pureview and Nokia N8 are the best examples for the true color rendering that it should be for a cameraphone,

Lumia 1020 was a totally on the other side when it was released...over sharpened and over saturated photos, the professional people including most of us don't love that way of image post processing, cause we already wants the super natural and clear photos that will allow us to modify and tune it as we want...Black update of course fixed a lot of things but still not on bar with 808 Pureview...

I hope you all will enjoy this discussion, and I really love to see your comments and ideas about the Next Gen of the Pureview technology

If you agree about what I post here post your comments and I will send this discussion to Nokia as we try to help them to produce the best quality camera phones based on our needs...

Cheers and feel free to comment ;)

xxx, 03 Jun 2014can someone please compare standard FW and Delight 1.4 please?I've just flashed my 808 with Delight CFW 1.4, and I'm speechless...

I'm so happy because Delight CFW is so amazing and awesome. My 808 is much smoother now. I feel like I'm having a quad cores phone in my hand. Definitely Delight CFW is a lot better than the original stock firmware.

Delight solves many problems of the original stock firmware, like Galary hang, Lag, frequent phone reboot. It also fix many bugs and add many features. Delight CFW is a top notch and I don't regret flashing it. I highly recommend it to Symbian Users.

Here's is the tutorial links how to flash Delight CFW with "Phoenix". If you decide to flash, read the tutorial instructions and do it carefully. Wish you a very happy and exiting days.
