just by the specs it seems Nokia has hit the right spot, it has the same specs as the N8,which I feel is one of the best phones Nokia has released, keeping the transmitter in their sleek and bring your music and link it to your car, and that camera, if this is as good as it sounds Nokia will be number one in my humble opinion beat Nokia fan, cannot wait until I can get my hands on it.

By the the name "nokia belle" you buy a "nokia OS", (after all they have bought it and Symbian has enemies and trolls everywhere..) and not something or someone else OS..
But,in this way after 2016 they continiue with nokia 0S, like now, but with a lot of changes..
I think that the next generation "nokia OS" will be Symbian-Maemo(MeeGo)collab..
Yes, MeeGo project is dead, but not the part of nokia.. Is dead the collab with Intel..

there's one great chance that Nokia could won public attention( without any advertising expenditure )only if they could adjusted their products price to the lowest profit margin in contrast to the Sky rocking price at the initial !
coz, phone features wise...... they are nowhere near the King and the Queen.

Because, Initially WP8 might be successful. But future tells real success no? So its success depends on response & sales in the whole 2013.

It was taking some time to revolve and emerge back to market. Just that when the time was going to recover, Elop was hired to make the thing worse than it was before. It is like Nokia is no longer exist and a small No-Kia-Microsoft company was established back in Feb 2011. Everything has been killed before it manages to give back profit. What the point of launching devices but then you’re going to tell the whole world you’re in the process of killing them. Why make them if you want to kill them? It’s like why you have babies but then kill them after 3-4 years?

With the No-Kia-Microsoft, new company they’re starting all over again from the bottom of the line to resurrect the death of Windows Mobile into new soul which is Windows Phone. They can do this but not as primary OS yet. The time is just not right and ripe yet. Meanwhile for Symbian, it still has high market share. Just that a lot fixing needed so that all the developers and consumers return to Symbian. Currently what nokia does is a reborn (WP) and a major fixing (Symbian to Belle). Both are in good progress but why Belle does not receive much ovation as WP does.

First, announcement of Symbian Death and less applications (majorly due to developers not interested cause Symbian was announced to be death). Second, the device itself is hardly to be found in some countries. Third, till now no fully support of Flash except for MeeGo (only in Mozilla). Forth, the marketing of WP too excessively despite the close system, no-USB otg, no microSD expansion slot, no DLNA and limited BT. Last, the Symbian devices are tag at higher price, no display/demo unit available in Nokia stores. People have no idea how different and smooth Belle is from Symbian as they never had the chance to try it hands on.

Be Nokia, 20 Mar 2012Is it possible to discontinue symbian after 2016?? I thoug... moreSome reasons why people stay in Symbian probably include the fact that Symbian is a very versatile OS. It's compatibility among apps for all versions is currently the greatest. Support is certain until 2016 because Nokia already made a contract until that point, but could still be supported for a longer time if the market will still prefer Symbian over WP.

The problem with WP is just like what you said: limited feature sets. Symbian supports far more features than WP.

Yes, the success of WP might just depend on WP8. Nokia already said that they will have a part in coding it. The market is not generally forgiving when it comes to product flaws.

Low-priced WPs have a bigger problem than just the feature sets... They have the middle-range Symbian Anna/Belle phones to compete against, as well as some Android phones.

Unless they can make a WP that equals or even exceeds Symbian, then they will still have to rely on Symbian for the majority of their market share.

Almost end of 2014? If they will release an OS that late, then they should make an OS that exceeds Symbian. Symbian and Android are leading on a race of feature sets and versatility, so if WP wants to go against them, then it should actually rival both OS' strengths.

Honestly IMO, it was better to just stick to Symbian and market it well. I have both Symbian and Android devices. There are things that only Symbian can do, and there are things that only Android can do, but if they take Android's unique strengths and put it into Symbian, and market it just like they are doing with the current Lumia series, then Symbian might just take the lead again. Marketing WP7 is a joke. It doesn't even stand well against iOS, what more Android and Symbian?
