hope nokia made it available in India too at half the original price after 2 to 3 years! (when outdated like N9).

I think PureView is an essential tool for any professional photographer.
I `ve seen alot of photographers that really interested in it and making comparisons with some dslrs.
I hope Nokia makes the camera UI more advanced and manual.

AnonD-3606, 21 Mar 2012basic logic principles: Symbian will be dead symbian ... moresymbian not dead. and never will be dead. people at present didnt like symbian. dats why nokia change name of symbian after symbian 3 to anna , belle carla and donna. before well developed nokia choose wp for get time to develop carla and dona. nokia also option meego. wp is new os and no one allowed to develop softwre for wp only ms. wait and see lots of software will be produced for wp. symbian word never used in nokia.

                        basic logic principles:

                        Symbian will be dead

                        symbian is Nokia OS

if "nokia(symbian)" will be dead (until 2016) then Nokia will also be dead

think carefully Nokia! symbian has more capabilities than Window$ Phone
you cant even put a 20mp on a windows phone

AnonD-44031, 21 Mar 2012I also think that announcement was what started the decline... moreLike I mentioned previous post, it's like Nokia is dead and they try to kill every single Nokia innovations and use them in WP. The company focus now to have WP as high and mid range device and maltemi as low range device. So no more Nokia in any of Nokia new devices. They wanted to totally erase whatever Nokia has before. No Symbian, No MeeGo, No S40, but they steal N9 design and promised to steal PureView camera for WP devices as well.

AnonD-5041, 21 Mar 2012Funny I just recalled a little known fact about Nokia N82 R... moreI don't know if this is true but it was discussed here:
                              http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Hardware-Codes-and-Operator/What-is-Dual-CPU/td-p/168164

                              I have an N73.

808's processor is made for dual-core. Maybe it really is, maybe it isn't. You know Nokia, they sometimes don't give/tell you some important details about your device, then release an update later to unlock some features/capabilities (701, 700, etc..).

Honestly, I like the way how they sometimes just let the user(s) explore other features of their phones. Gives a thrill of discovering something. :)

Funny I just recalled a little known fact about Nokia N82 RM313

CPU Dual 332 MHz ARM 11, Texas Instruments OMAP 2420

Nokia does have dual core Symbian S60v.3FP1 devices.

This device has dual core, among others. But not the Nokia 808 PureView. :)

AnonD-44456, 21 Mar 2012Symbian has a bright future just that it was in slum cause ... moreI also think that announcement was what started the decline of Symbian. WP is not yet ripe (nice term here buddy!), but still released it. This one gave a lot of people bad impressions about the WP line. Much like S60v5 and S^3, WP could be in a whole lot of trouble because of all those limitations. Too many limitations at such a high price.

But honestly, Nokia could still go back to the top if they will just focus on one OS. Symbian is a very good choice. It started with a great impression although somewhere in the middle it did slip up, it still has the potential. Just a few more features (WiFi Direct, Browse shared folders via WiFi, to name a few), put as much marketing as what is used in the Lumia Series and Symbian can have a feature pack that will bring it to the top.

Too bad though. Nokia-MS already set the mindset of the majority that Symbian is dying/dead. Now, if they will just take that back and give a lot of attention to Symbian... :)

So it would be a good decision to just change the name, but most people would still remember/recognize it as Symbian I think. :)

But Anna is a very good development, and so does the next OS.. :)
