Problem with Symbian was not the OS by itself, but the hardware where it came... 128MB RAM 434Mhz CPU (with no GPU) on a +500€ N97 that was sluggish and filled with bugs, same thing happened with 5800, even though, being cheaper lessen the issue. Users got angry and that did not looked well for Symbian.
One of the things that actually made it worse was the release of phones like C6-00 with new features, a lot less bugs and a more snappy experience, while the older phones with almost identical hardware kept their bugs, feature set (5800 got 5530 and 5230 homescreen contacts layout though).
Currently I had to use a CFW to make my phone useable, apps kept crashing and had some overall instability that was not tolerable, even after several hard resets and card formats. Fun fact is that my phone is using most of C6-00 firmware features making it look like a new phone entirely.
Assuming bugs in Belle are ironed out from all the previous iterations since S^1, the 1.3 GHz ARM 11 and the 512MB RAM should help quite a bit. I must say though, that I will never buy a Nokia again...

as i saw in the pictures his phone has dual xenon...compare it to the n8 and see the difference.

If Belle runs fast on 1GHz ,
now with 1.3GHz will run faster than Android on 4 or 8 core .

why doesn't nokia use A8 cotex instead of ARM11.
And who says Symbian is dead with these inovations ?

Simple amazing... No problem with the OS. I have everthing that I really need:
- Very good camera (carl zeis, auto focus, 41Mpixels,decent flash, optical zoom).
- Very good GPS software (I have tried a lot of Iphone GPS software and I couldn't find any compared with the nokia GPS sofware)
- Facebook and twitter capabilities.
- Exchange e-mail sync.
I have a corporate iphone 4S and I miss my broken N8 every sigle day ! It has been broken by my fault...

I tried Windows, Droid, IOs5, and Symbian. I like Symbian, because it is truly does not use battery as much as other OSs even if you use it to the fulles. With DROID your phone heats up, with IOS, battery drains pretty quickly, with Windows it is more better, more like SYmbian, but symbian I think beats them all, especially belle. This is my opinion after using these phones:

I am so tired of people bashing symbianOS. There's not much difference between symbian and any other OS. Honestly its like someone started saying its bad then some other people started to mimic them and now its got to the point where most people saying symbian is bad don't have a valid reason for saying so or are commenting for the sake of it or are making blind statements because everybody else is doing it.
