Just awesome phone.. I was searching for... And its symbian.. Means free softwares, hacks, even free internet..due to java support..for handlers...!

nokia can retain its number one position of past if they introduce android os. These 41mp camera and other configuration are not sufficient for nokia.

Nokia 808 PureView this will define the future of mobile optics. A 41 MP CAMERA SENSOR & Carl Zeiss lens for capturing even the tiniest of details. Even real life would seem faded in comparison to this! are you agree with my statement

Why on earth put this on a ARM 11 processor, it will be incompatible with a bunch of symbian apps i think.

What the heck! 41MP?...With only 512-MB of RAM and a 1.3-GHz single-core processor. FAILED!!

Please, Add the LED flash in Video Recording as option in the Camera primary Spec.

No camera can ever come even close to a DSLR in terms of both image quality and versatility unless the camera itself is a DSLR. The camera is probably good for walkaround capturing, but you don't need 41MP for that.
If you want to take photos great photos, get a DSLR. If you want a fast phone, don't buy the Nokia.
The phone is probably good if you like to have a decent multimedia device with the possibility to take photos on the go, but there are zillion of those on the market anyways. Also, it's probably a good option if you don't have money to spend on a DSLR and want to take decent wider angle shots in a good light.
All in all, the 41MP sensor makes a lot of sense. Average Joe's will think the camera is amazing and buy the phone. It's Nokia's way to differentiate as it can't compete with other features anymore.

It's a shame on Nokia to make this a Symbian. People would want it for the camera, but they'd get just irritated by the OS. I hope they make another edition of it with WM7.

You could not use calculator to see that it does come to 38MP usuable just as it's says in the description! COME ON PEOPLE, before you put comments here spend 30 minutes researching, like google or something! OR youtube, or take a calculator and count if that comes to 38 Million pixles or not! :) If you know how sensor is made you would of known that it is round and when you take pictures it cuts some pixles on the sides, top and buttom to make it a proper picture size, so some pixles will never get used, but sensor is still astonishing 41MP, that you cannot even find it on DSLR Cameras! YEY NOKIA! Always been a fan always will be, cant wait to get it in May, just like the old days with Nokia first camera phones and first smartphones. Nokia is officially back!

a gift for nokia n8 current users , my next phone , 41
MP camera , 7mega pixels in every 1 MP to form what is called " Super Pixel " to get the pure view in zooms and shades , simply brilliant ,, and by the way , whats android again ..?
