It is tge most powerful and last symbian device.. Which gives it pride enjoyed by N9 ( the one and only MeeGo ) phone..:):)

Camera of 808 is much powerfull for achieving still images. Size is compact to hold and you can type text easily . I am tyoing this msg through 808 and much happier to get it back ..

Already ziad and carol were saying several time inspite some are coming like this.. U did very good briefing.. Fine..:):):) always symbian is a step ahead to any revival OS there in market.. But due to lack of unwanted apps people discourage going for this well developed OS...:) there may be 8 lakhs or more apps in android and ios but a normal user will install 15 apps to the max..

"Look at the entire phone specs before deciding on a phone" - what's wrong with 808 specs? it's not lagdroid needing a nuclear power plant in order to function...normally.

"If you want something that takes great photos get a dedicated SLR with the right lens" - but why be satisfied with at least 500grams and over 1000$ device always with you when you can get yourself a...satelite?
"A 41 MP photo on this phone will like crap compared to a nice 16-18 MP SLR" - says who? what comparisons have you made to draw this conclusion?

Yup, you didn't say anything, just some baseless thoughts about a device you don't know anything about...

hi ziad and carol.. This rom makes pureview mode to come up with more pixel options.. It gives 16:9 ( 9,8,6,5,4,2 mp ) and in 4:3 ( 3,5,8,12 mp) .. Also till now FW is stable in all accounts.. Battery is good. Theme animation removed. So overall awakening blue 8.4.1 is good.. Let me see is there any other CFW. Also the font turns really clear and small after changing its size.. In stock ROM inspite of changing the font size to small it won't be that small. Also conversation mode looks cool.. Keyboard looks cool in full black skin.. Looks like lumia.. If anyone willing just give a try:):):):):):):) task manager is much more responsive than before..

If there is a powerful light, so to say. The sky. And you want to take a picture of a hause or something, normaly the sky should come very white. You can lower the light by lowering the exposure in the camera settings. While will not get read of the whit, will at least lower it's annoying glowing.

You can't bring with your slr all the time cause it is not pocketable.. Lol. Yes 808 pureview takes great photos far better than the ordinary compact camera! And can't be matched by any other camera in a smartphone! You've got to see it to believe! Peace!! :))

guys try awakening blue CFW.. it makes ur device feel like windows in look... all icons are changed to windows skin.. also keyboard changed to lumia.. conversation screen looks like Lumia.. just now started using.. let me explore what are there more in this ROM...

I already decided and grabbed this 808 until it was awailable. =) It's already in my pocket - but I need this micro sim now... ^^
Tnx for all tips and opinions - I'm certain now that this phone is the best for me! :)

People just see 41 MP and think this phone will take great photos. Look at the entire phone specs before deciding on a phone. The camera is only one aspect. If you want something that takes great photos get a dedicated SLR with the right lens. A 41 MP photo on this phone will like crap compared to a nice 16-18 MP SLR.
Companies like to exploit one or two aspects of a product to make it stand out but with a smart phone you'll want one that excels great in the most possible areas. I seriously doubt there's much difference between a photo taken with this one compared to one taken on a 13 MP phone.

So, this decision is up to your need only. I would go for 808, cheaper and with the system i like. But if you have money and don't care to much about 808 abilities (though, maybe the new 1020 will have at least 80% of them). Then you can go for 1020 to, is new. The only problem i have with wp is the fact that is still locked and does not have allot of what my n8 has.
