This phone is only for those who have a lot of money to spend, have long fingernails and are klutch in handling small phones.

That's right ... The speaker volume way too low, the battery life is too short ... the keys are too small ... even my service provider sales do not suggest their customers (including myself) to buy; which says it all about this Nokia 8800 !!!

low sound... batt life - dissappointment.
other than that - its COOL.
NO 3G - SVGA CAMERA - THE SAD THING....
        5 OUT OF 10 POINTS....

Poor Nokia. This phone is sold for a very high amount in the market and yet, the camera is 0.8 megapixels, no card slot and again the phone has a voice problem. i think this is a big flop from nokia. anyone pls don't waste your money on this toy so called a phone.

              Nice phone to hold, but:
              1) volume is simply too low.
              2) battery life is woeful

              I will be returning mine.

Anybody shed any light on battery life – it says on the web – up to 8 days standby ---
How much battery are you guys using in a day…. A battery a day sound right…

After a long wait to get the Nokia 8800 – bought it online the first day it was in the UK. A couple of points which may help somebody considering the 8800.
It looks good but- the key pad is really small – as in really small you can hardly push the * button in actual fact all buttons at the bottom of the phone are hard to access unless you have super small fingers.
The navigation key is just the same and you spend most of your time correcting the error you made by pushing the incorrect key.
The display is really cool and the resolution is great – the camera is also really good for a SVGA camera.
The ring tones which are meant to be a selling point are really mediocre and make more noise than anything else.
The software is exactly the same as the Nokia 6230i so no real advance on that side.
It is also pretty heavy. It does not have infrared as indicated on the previous page.
All in all the phone looks good but that is it! You will be heavily disappointed if you haven’t seen or used it before my suggestion would be don’t get it from the pictures.
There are a lot of better phones out there.
But at the end of the day it is up to you.

                              Hope this helps.

this phone has its great design and all but the only thing that bothers me so bad is that why didn't the nokia company put some 1.3 mega pixels camera in this fone? if there will be a version of this fone that will have a megapixel camera in it, for sure i'll buy one.

Seriously if u want fuction go for the 6680.For me i like the design of the 8800 tats why i got it but i kinda regret cos the function sucks sad to say. So if u're a smartphone user u'll tend to miss having all the fuction

I've had the phone for about 12 days now .. the phone looks amaizing and its perfect for business use bc its not loaded with the crap that comes withe the smart phones. the only problem i am facing is the battary .. its too small and it bearly last through the day.. i know it comes with 2 battaries but did nokia think i am gonna carry the 2nd battary with the phone in the same pocket so they made the screen scratch resistance? is anyone facing this problem with the battary?
