Had the phone for 2 months and have now gone back to the 8910i as the 8800 was starting to give me headaches and i mean actual physical headaches.
Battery life is also non existent . i suppose the replacement batteries are terribly expensive

I had an 8910i before this and it was a gem...the 8800 is by far the worse phone I have ever had...looks the part and thats it..battery life is terrible (guess that's why they give you a spare, memory capacity "£$%^&*(...I am trying to persuade my wife to give me my 8910i back..DONT BUY AN 8800

i have just got this phone on an upgrade, previously i had the 6230. to be honest i was disappointed with the 8800, it does look the part, however the battery didnt last a full day without needing a charge and the functions are no better than my 6230. def not worth the rrp!

Pls. don't compare the Samsung D600 with the Nokia 8800........because the 8800 is just a Fiat in Ferrari clothing!!!

I've had this phone for a few months now, but for the past two weeks, it switches itself off, does any know if this is common problem, or why it does this?

to ummz,
m8 to get maximum battery life DON'T over charge the battery. it slowly kills it. when the battery becomes full, the charger is still trying to pump power into it and the battery overheats and shortens the battery life span. my advise is, charge the battery until it's full, turn it off and when you need to swap them, put the empty battery on charge. it has nothing to do with any memory that's in the phone so you won't loss any info you have stored. hope this helps. :)

Hey everyone, just got a Nokia 8800 and loving it. But I am unsure regarding the battery. I'm using one at the moment and charging one on the desktop charger. Do i just leave the desktop charger power on with the battery and whne my battery dies I go and change it. WIll there be a memory effect if I overcharge the battery to much. If so what is receommened to do for the 2nd battery. Thanks

The weight gives you feel that you are carrying something precious in your pocket not a cell phone with all junk features those are NOT supposed to be in a cell phone.

Personally, the weight what makes the phone more exclusive! If this phone only weights 70g, its gonna ruin its exclusivity..Just simply love the phone the way it is.

Excellent, it's really a phone.
Why do you look for a phone with camera which is 2M max on the market? A Sony Cybershot 5M is still small.
Why do you look for music phone? A PM3 player 512Mb is still too small.
If you can pay for this phone. It is your CLASS in thousands of other phones.

I have to agree 100% with C me for the "If you don't like it, Don't buy it, but then don't Diss it" comment, and i'd also like to ask people who complain about the weight of the phone this... "Didn't you look at / hold the phone in the shop before you bought it"??
That's the weight of the phone, it's not going to magically get lighter on the way home. My suggestion is to ask to Hold the phone In The shop, and make sure that you are comfortable with the weight and feel of the buttons before you part with your cash.

Haha kaz i agree.....Ty, if you are going to tell tall stories, at least make them slightly believable. PS. Go the 8800. What other kind of phone can amuse people on GSMARENA message boards for hours with it's wacky antics. Nokia - connecting people (and then making them have go's at each other) bahaha
