When in "MENU" press the "Options" button....
will open another option "Main Menu View"...
click on this option....
Then it will show
"LIST"
"GRID"
now you can choose whichever you prefer.

Hi Stevo
Basically the camera on the 8800 is 0.6 megapixel, which is not very good considering you can buy phones with 2.0 megapixel for 1/4 of the price of an 8800, having said that, the camera on the 8800 was better than I was expecting it to be.
I guess what i'm trying to say is...
If you want to buy a phone which looks amazing, but camera isn't all that brilliant, then pick the 8800, However if you don't really care much about the look of the phone, and plan on using the phone to capture pix of your kids doin funny stuff, which you cherish forver, then you might wanna look elsewhere, and choose a 2.0 megapixel phone.
If you read the 8800 review here, there are pics that were taken using an 8800, so you can decide for yourself :)
Hope this helps.

can anyone tell me what the camera on this phone is like??? i have a 6680 at the moment but i read this phone (8800) only has a VGA camera which is about 0.3 megapixels or so i believe. I dont really know much about specs of phones but on my 6680 the front camera is a VGA and the quality of it is not that good so if anyone can tell me if VGA means that the camera wil b same quality on 8800 or not it wud b much appreciated.

i think it's the coolest phone nokia relased in the last 2 years...and before it was the 8910i,and before it was the 8910..and before that..the 8850...
theese were just fashion phones...real phones...why do we really nead a phone except for talking...if u want photos and videos..buy a camcorder...if u want mp3 bui an ipod,or a psp,if u want symbian...bui a palm...whatever u'r phones qualityes would be...remeber that theese nokias will always be better...

Hey Kaz..
I think he doesnt understand that we're talking about him. Or he likes to be the subject of ppl and it makes him even more "fantasized". So i think the best way for us to handle this unrealistic person is by ignoring him. The more we complain about him, the more he talks BS..Cheers for all

I received instructions from Nokia on how to activate the digital signature feature on the 8800. I was able to make several purchases - very cool!
Also revised the docking station for the 8800 in my Beemer so that it automatically folds into the center counsol when I park the car. (A necessary feature for open air parking - my friends are amazed!)
Finally, took my beautiful wife to the movies at the local mall and spotted a pre-teen girl with a 8800 - and I thought I was the only father to spoil their daughter!

They should put up a link where people can post pics of themselves with their 8800's , at least then it *MIGHT* separate the people who ACTUALLY own one, from the people who CLAIM to own one.

Hey Senna
Thx for the reply, i know that the different is in the band, thats what i said earlier. But i dont know why are the price difference between two phones are so high?? What do u mean by "lower frequency penetrate better reception inside buildings"?? Are you basically saying that 8801 (it has lower freq than 8800 rite) better than 8800 for the reception? But 8801 cost much2 less than 8800..I honestly hate 8801, its ugly! Even thou theres no different except the reception, lol..Thx

to coffee,
8801 covers different frequencies than the 8800. North America uses 850 & 1900 while 8800 only serves 900, 1800 and 1900 and the 8801 has 850, 1800 and 1900. Lower frequency can penatrate better reception inside buildings. Cheers!!!

I was gambling in the VIP room in Macau a couple of days ago (minimum bet $1,000 per hand).
There was a gambler who sat right next to me who happened to be using a Nokia 8800 (I took with me the NEC L1). I was surprised to find out he also encounter a lot of faults & different problems with his 8800. Although I had already gave up my 8800's because of all the trouble this phone model had given me; I still think that the look is quite elegant. But to my surprise, most of the PR ladies & gentleman who serve us in the VIP room said that the look of this 8800 to be quite ugly.....but most of them perfer the look & thiness of my NEC L1 design (my newest mobile toy). These PR people were so eager about the NEC L1 that I had so many questions answered.
[pls. note that these PR people always look at nice things from their VIP customers.... Vertu is a common thing there & nothing special to these people....even a lot of their customer's watch costing over US$100,000 is a common thing!]

to coffee,
usually a handset will be given a different number or letter in or after the model number to indicate use on a particular network or area or branding, for example an 8800 in the UK may just be called a 8801 in america or an SE V800 (vodafone UK branded) in the uk is a Z800 on general release , hope this helps
