Nice & elegant...sleek & seemless...It wraps up all my feeling towards this beauty...
I just bought it yesterday & this is my Precious...
Before this I had a 6230 which I feel is still one of the best phone to have at the moment...
Comments on 8800, well...besides the shorter talk time anything else seems perfect...
Anyway, does anybody have an idea to download a game named golf pro tour?
Regards...

I'm trying to find out re: Life Timer, Tho it would probably mean 10hrs 7mins 42secs, as 107hrs seems alot (I'd hate to see your phone bill :P)

Such teeny weeny buttons and I have such large fingers...... makes for difficult texting! Glad I didnt buy it, I love my Motorola V635 and just cause the 8800 looks nice from the outside doesnt mean its friendly on the inside.

Does anyone know if it's possible to install the Wayfinder software on the 8800? I want to be able to use the GPS module with the 8800.

BlueTooth is probably the easiest way of connecting your phone to the pc

Can someone do me a favour and try putting in this code as I want to check other ppl's manufacture dates, as it seems i'm the only person here who's happy with his 8800
(This code will NOT damage your phone in any way)
                      press
                      *#92702689#

You will get your Imei number , the actual manufacturing date and some other details..............

My Manufacturing Date is "102005", so I'm presuming 102005 = 10/2005 , as in October (This Month) Maybe they fixed some bugs in the meantime

I purchased it because of the nice looks, small size, and naturally due to the high price I assumed it to be better than the other Nokias. Unfortunately, It is not half as good as the 6600 that i use now. I have been a Nokia user and did not want to change becase of contact data transfer and because I am used to the commands. Once I purchsed the Samsung DHC 500 it was not user frindly as the Nokia, so gave it up. the 8800 is not user frindly like the 6600, the battery life is very poor (the phone heats up when you talk for 5 minute), the speaker is very weak, impossible to hear on the road even with the speaker on. Functions are not user friendly, more like the Samsung rather than the Nokias i am used to. Totally dissapointed. I continue to use the 6600 and will sell the 8800 even at half price.

Hey Coffee, I honestly don't use the Vibrate feature of the phone, and haven't on any of my past phones as it tends to annoy me after a while, but I gave it a bit of a test, it's strong, but doesn't feel like the back is gonna fall off.

HUGE ad for the 8801 in today's daily Variety (a Hollywood trade magazine).

My understanding is that it will retail for 795.00.

Hopefully the phone will stay exclusive for a few more months. When it shows up with the teen set at the Gelleria it's time to move on to the next "hot" phone. This is why my wife keeps tellng to get a Virtu and be done with it!

                                Hey Coffee
Glad you got your new Toy :P, The software is pretty much if you need to synchronise your pc with phone for appts etc (Borin Business Stuff),But I only need it for calling sms'n etc etc, so I didn't bother installing software, but I guess it's upto you at the end of the day what you decide to do with it.
Lemme know how you go with it :)

I just receive my phone and really excited with it! Just like you said, the battery life is not that bad. And uh, do you have any problem with the vibration? Mine is like so strong, makes the back cover sound loose. Its annoyed me so much, do you experience that as well? One more thing Kaz, do i have to install the software? And whats that for? Thx for the help, appreciate it a lot..

I'm gonna be completly honest, since I bought the 8800 last week, the software is still sealed in the box, I just charged it and installed my sim card, I REALLY CANNOT complain about my phone's performance, i.e spent over 20mins talkin, well over 1.5hrs using bluetooth to install different themes, pix etc, playing the car game, and listening to a couple of tunes, and the battery is still showing 7 bars.
Has anyone else NOT installed the supplied software, and doesn't seem to have major probs with their 8800?

B4 8800 i had 9500 it also had many problems in the software and they had to change it. Even My friends fone is givig him trouble. Nokia has gone crap man.
