I've always been crazy about the 8 series .. & for all thos who don't like it , well it's made for type of ppl who appreciate high quality .. these phones are for those who seek elegance & luxury . if u would want a phone that has wifi , higher mp & other stuff then stop commenting on 8 series & keep on sticking on the N series. as long as it provides u with all what u want , So LEAVE THE 8 SERIES for its ppl ..
Great job NOKIA & i really love the phone , it's amazing & looks soooo special ..

I work as a Sales Executive for a Telecommunications Company and I agree with the fact that these series may be quite "low-tech" compared to the latest technologies used on cellphones nowadays, but their structure is what I can really say tough... the glass resists scratching unless it was subjected to a rather inhumane handling... better than any other phone I've seen or handled.

k, 28 Dec 2008Great... another dodgy phone for the rich and infamous. the... moreYou are lying. For two reasons:
1) first, the phone isn't available yet...
2) I work at a mobile phone shop, and the 8 series are not very good mobile phones in "mobile phone terms", but the construction is surely better than any other phone. You've said Sony Ericsson? May I remind you of the "excellent" quality of the W580i and W910i? Breaking keys... Got it? If you don't know what you're talking about, just don't talk at all!

Great... another dodgy phone for the rich and infamous. the phone's so called scratch resistant is crap, a customer brought one in, it was scratched to hell. Sony Ericsson phones have better screens than that.
18K gold... melt it down and use it as jewelery, better value.
