Just want to say something to a post i saw on the 3rd page i think..By Neil.. He said..
In response to Nokiaguy;
Why? Why would you waste your money on something that is purely design? Do you really think that people care that you have an over-price yet under-specced handset?
Sure it looks pretty n' all, but it's just a waste of money. Now, before you all start going on about how I have no taste, can't affod it etc - I own my own business and Am on here looking for a new phone. Secondly, I wear armani suits and Prada shoes.
I currently have a PDA, which is prerfect for what I need. I don't understand why people would actually go ahead and buy this handset...
Let's look at the facts:
1) It does nothing.
2) It's way too expensive.
3) It does nothing.
Go ahead, buy it, try nd look cool with it, but enjoy people laughing at you and calling you a "poser"...
Right..Poser? So many people have said it, if you wear Aramani suits and prada shoes...why? what's wrong with the 1z down your local clarks? or the suits in asda?
The bottom line is, because this 8800 might be a little overpriced u say it's crap
fact of the matter is why spend all that money on thouse suits and shoes? when it doez the same job as an less expensive one? same as what ur saying with this phone
You are one thing..a hypocrite
The phone is made for what purpose? to send and recieve voice convosations, maybe text message and maybe camera use or music
Why do you need to be extra and say this phone is crap because it doesn't have many features?
You tell me, which of the features on the phone do you even know how to use? in general
Fact of the matter is, dont say something is ccrap for the soul purpose of it being overpriced
I could say your clothing is crap, has no real design, waste of money, but does any1? No...Why?
Because it's a luxourise item, same as this phone, stick to what the phone is made for, if u can afford it buy one
If u cant buy one which is cheaper, up to you
Dont say this phone is crap because of it's price
It's annoying now..

I dont understand all the negative posts about this phone, this isnt a phone for everyone, it is for people who can afford to spend £500 for a phone. You need to understand that some people dont need all the features you get with Series 60 and PDA phones. These are the people that will buy this phone. I recieved mine yesterday and it is worth every penny. The Sirocco is definately 'luxury redefined'.

I have Nokia 8800 which I like it's looking, and appreciated by all my freinds. But the problem I really have is the battery life and other freinds using the same phone we share it. Is it possible to impouve the battery and give the Nokia it's good reputation and value of money for the 8800 which even in it's advert says that desavantage is very expensive? Please let us enjoy this beautfull phone.
Thanks. Edison

Niel,
just out of my curiousity, I am wondering how offen you are using wifi on your fone beside using it to call or text message or email. dont wanna offend anyone but everytime I pull out my Sirocco, people start go "WOW", your phone look nice....and blah blah blah. However, i never see anyone ask me on my PDA. Do you have this experience?

I highly agree with previous positive post. The phone is elegant but business like, they sell the retail here in New Zealand for $1500 which is quite expensive, but still I enjoy the phone and it definitly lives up to my expectations. Cannot find any con's right now :D

For the price of this phone, it should be capable of a memory card, WiFi, 3mp Camera+... Still bear in mind what phones were originally made for, but even then it's very poor value for money.

Hmm...too pricey and the screen isn't big enough for me. It would be a considerable choice if the screen was bigger and had all the other features like the N95.

For the dude below me: don't buy it at all, it's not worth the price, no useful functions, horrible camera... Buy it only if you have ALOT spare cash and only use the phone to call, sometimes message... Well and you will buy it anyways, take a black one, it looks cooler :D

Great Looker and pack comes well equipped with Bluetooth headset, extra battery, desktop charger, earphone, case and cleaning cloth.
Keys are small and hard to press, functionality is average and the camera is good.
Hard to keep clean too

Well going to be truthful to all my fellow mates, when talking about functions its complicated but when its talking about design its great. So thin its your choice wether you want a designation or a functional choices. BUT If you choose a designation as your choice Its aeatful choice of mine and yourselves because I think that in funtion Its complicated to say but in designation Its nothing to comment on but to say EXCELLENCE.YOURS TRULY
