this is not a vertu phone. will you aristocrats stop comparing it to those handsets? when nokia is interested in peddling highly overpriced yet inferior garbage handsets for the sake of fashion and notoriety, they usually just slap their little veru tag on it.

maybe you aristocrats are too broke to afford vertu so you wish this handset was on the same level. either way this is something for normal consumers. nokia just chooses to falsely inflate the price because suckers like you are willing to grease their profits.

To all people asking for the price of the Sirroco, it is around £800 without simcard @ carphonewarehouse in United Kingdom

                                peace,
you do not get the point of this phone. its like saying... you should have gps and a color screen in a vertu signature cause it costs a forune.... that is unnecessary and dim-witted.

i would really love to coment on the 8800sirocco. nokia should learn from their mistakes making phones like 6230 and 6230i.. jus add 1.3cam and its a new model. 8800 and 8800sirocco is almost the same. jus add 2mp and 128mb of memory. nokia should really have added an external memory storage or add 3g. this is one of the most sexiest phone nokia have ever made, but the spec of the phone really is a disapointment. i really hope nokia's next 8800 series will be a better improvement.

Yeah but if you dont upgade then you lose the chance for discount off line rental and will end up paying more in the long run for a new contract.

Why call upgrades when you can go in to your local store and get your hands on it!! We did an upgrade today on one and the guy was on a $30 a month tariff and the handset cost him £200!

If you read my post you will notice i was on about upgrading. If your call upgrades you will be advised it's currently out of stock. The upgrade's department will only upgrade at no cost if you spend more than £100 average.
