Someone had taken things too personal.too proud to own expensive phone(they think it'is)and sail feeling sorry for someone else whose can't afford to have one(not really),I know you're proud to be a Sirocco 8800 but just keep it for yourself,we do not own one not becourse we can't afford it but we don't think it's wise to spend that much of money for the phone with lack in features and got nothing but the look,have a look at the sale figures of all the phone makers,Nokia is falling behind and losing thei reputation which they've been building for year,seem like they concentrate on something which attract the rich and famous(someone sometime think they're),owning a Sirocco doesn't mean you're rich and famous(think again).Spend the money wisely and only pay for what you want and serve you well don't just show off and you'll be regret.

Yes Nismo you can. However you cannot charge a 00 battery on the Sirocco charger, I tried that and it does not charge, but I did not try the other way round. Direct charging without desktop no problem.

I really don't like the idea of keep everything in one device (unless Apple comes with with the concept of iPod+iPhone) I also dont like to keep all available features in a cell phone coz its only made to make calls not as handy Accessory.
I don't need a music player with Gigs of spaces on memory card to save my music collection coz I've iPod, I really want a camera on a cell phone either coz I've a Canon EOS 350D, I don't want to have a mailbox for my emails in my mobile too coz I've HP nx6110. I love to keep things separate and organized with their features and what they meant to be...not for useless headachs to bang my head with a mobile fone and put everything under one roof.
One thing I'm agree is now a days technology is changing rapidly and we buy some thing with right hand and very next hour theres some else invented on our left side but I still have my NOKIA 8890 since it was launched and its really in perfect condition and rocks. I hope this beast in a beauty will stay like that other 88xx and I'm getting mine next week ;-)

hello,i dnt no why u say this fone is nt v gd i ha mine for bout a week now an works fine the battery is alot better than b4, its ritten tht its only 2 hours an 45 mins i thnk its a bit more, i love my sirocco, i advise u 2 buy it

Have you guys ever wondered, that when you bring something back with a new skin it only means it is in great demand ? Better still you hold the price, and you can't do this if it is not desirable. So all you boys and girls who dont like it move on, never has a model lasted this long at this price. Keep it up Nokia, I want to see the next issue of the 8800.

Those of you who have the Sirocco I know you love it and just like me use it all the time. Great features, makes great calls and receives great calls, period. You want more, go buy 990 or N93 or something like that. So those who don't have it, you ain't sexy baby.

Well, Nokia has done it, revamped the 8800 into a Sirocco. 2MP camera and the works. A really good fone and I am about to own one very soon!

what bugs me most is that you spend $1000 on a cell phone and you don't get a stereo headset or even a usb connector for synchronization.... so you have to buy a bluetooth stereo headset and a bluetooth device for your pc, both of which will drain that 700mah battery like anything... :x

the phone looks good but looks are highly deceptive. i hope its not as heavy as the former 8800 though.

Maybe my english is not the best, but I can help you... I bought the phone on friday. I had the black 8800 before it. It has a new, very logical structured menu. I like it. The battery power is more than enough. I can use it for 1,5-2 days, in stead of 1/2 day...! The new design is not the best. The black 8800 looks better than this Sirocco... :-( If you buy the new battery for your old 8800, that will be the best sollution!

I think it looks nice but that's about it.
It doesn't even have 3G. I think nokia need to rethink their game plan. If they're gonna
put out a phone as exspensive as this, it
really should have something in it!!

I totaly agree with K (dC2PM) that was one of the best opinion i seen.
I have got my 8800si already and like it is nice and attractive, but still I like the old 8800 more.
I hate ferrari !!! and want upg my BMW M5 to Porsche GT3...
