you aristocrats are amazing! everytime somehting comes that you own that's not worth its exhorbitant price, those complaining are "too broke" to afford it. yeah we're just a bunch of poor people who *wish* we could own an overpriced piece of nokia garbage. we go to work everyday and *aspire* to be like you with your nokia 8800se.
NOTTTTTTT!!! i have no reason to be jealous. i'll soon have a Motorola KRZR K1 and i'll end up paying 1/3 the price for more functions, twice the battery life and actual style. the nokia 8800se isn't even that hot, it looks like a heavy piece of metal junk that somebody accidentally stepped on to leave that imprint.
all you aristocrats just keep your chargers handy. you're gonna need them with battery life so bad, even CDMA users can laugh at you.

Kev UK.
What are you talking about? Can't you seem most people on here complain about how expensive it is? Mostly it's inner indirect jealousy. You think people buy it because of it's price? People don't buy ferraris because it's expensive.
Get your head on right man. What the hell.

If this phone had a low price on it and was identical to what it currently is no one would like it or buy it. Shallow people anyone?

First of all, those who bought this phone of the nokia 8800 origional version, hang you heads in shame ! The phone was only brought out to make quick profit on an over-hyped phone as as always gullable stupid people fell for it. Its a load of crap, i was given one for two months and stopped using it after 5 days and went back to the nokia 6230i that i had around the flat.

You know what's wrong with people's view on phones? People always complain about phones. We haven't found a perfect phone, true. But people have a knack of wanting every little thing.
"It hasn't got a good enough camera, no card slot, no 3G support, no radio, no EDGE, no bluetooth, it's ugly, expensive this and that", and the list goes on forever. For heaven's sake people, get your head clear. We can't have everything and we certainly can't afford everything.
Stop complaining so much. And to be more on the topic, I personally think this phone needs appreciation, even if it costs ridiculously alot. There's always a reason.

It is true the battery life time is not the best feature in this product, but that's why NOKIA provide two batteries in the pack and also the deskstand (moreover the battery life time has been improved compare to the one on the Nokia 8800). Personally I prefer my Nokia 8800, but the Sirocco looks very nice and maybe just for the 2MP camera and the 128Mb memory I would change it....
I got used to charge my battery every 2 days and I still think the Nokia 8800 is the nicest mobile phone in the market !

Sorry Nokia fans but Nokia changes lately only covers. Inside almost nothing. So, why do we need a steel cover???

i thought when nokia bought out another 8800 they would sort the poor battery life out unfortunatly this was not the case - so yet again i'm really disappointed with this phone.

i wanna mention again to those people who ask for memory card on this phone. Man have u guys wonder since when nokia had launched an 8 series phone with memory card? 8250? 8890?, 8850? 8855? 8910i? none.... and they can make it up to 1k on sale the minute the 8 series are out in the market. If u guys wan memory card, then go for N series... which N series does not launch without memory card?... U people should be glad enough that the sirocco is 2 megapixels, with radio along. even if this phone come without camera, i will still buy it..it'll be well appreciated in public. Always support nokia 8 seires.!!!! and sony e phones rockzzz...

i have had this phone and tested it its just like the first 8800 again no memory card... it also has the same usless bat life as the bfirst 8800 i think nokia are just trying to boos ratings as they are loosing out to samsung and sony ericsson id recomend the w950i much much better witha 4 gig internal memory and a slick touch screen
