I pike people, they l... moreWhat i want to say is new Nokias have good build quailty (most of them), but have worst cameras than old Lumias, there is no Pureview tehnology in those Nokias made by HMD/Foxconn, there is no PureMotion, No ClearBlack, also they are good in updates (like any other androidone phone), but software is basic, why HMD does not have own skin like rest do. Every other known OEM have developed own skin, but also have here and there androidOne phones..
Also, their price is not right (HMD is not Samsung, not Apple) they are not available in EU in all operators (at least not all models from 2018).. Symbian was on all smartphones with Nokia logo from 2003, until 2012, or you saying than Nokia was on Windows mobile back in the days? Is not. Microsoft ruined Nokia mobile division, and only who want Nokia after all that was HMD Global Oy, not Samsung, Huawei or any other big name, to use Nokia as sub-brand.. It seems that you're fanboy of Nokia letters only, not tehnology, because, only Zeiss for now is on HMD phones, nothin else..

nautch, and that's too large.
Why all company giving nautch? It cut the display on every apps. First design that type of apps.

That was one of the best selling smartphones of 2010 and has symbian, and Belle had a lot of potential, but was abandoned, mr laptop's fault. Nokia made a lot of mistakes in their way, mainly cause of naivity and Pride i give you that. But if there would have not been the felop CEO, we would at least have more then 2 systems on the market to choose from...

Android was a s... morei agree with Meego...it was pretty good os.....but symbian was basically developed towards non touch screens... i have used lots of nokia symbian devices like N70, N73, E5 etc..multi tasking in E5 (with a meagre 256 MB ram) was mind boggling... but symbian started going downhill with the arrival of touch screen devices and apple iphone..
whereas android os is mainly developed with touch screens in mind and immediately become a ios rival..and symbian went extinct...

Android was a sh''t in front of symbian, only now in 2018 has something to say against it. Nokia had MeeGo. A system of the gestures everybody are copying now (after w8 years), even android, oh let's not forget the copycat of them all, ios! They did not fail to go with android, as i already said, elop faild to be a real Nokia CEO. He was just a mole inside of an true european Company.

Sybian was bought by Nokia in 2011. Symbian is not a Nokia original system, but only further developed by it. Also, Nokia as a brand is Nokia as a brand, HMD is a company that produces Nokia phones using Nokia technology. Sorry, but i am not here to explain marketing to you or anybody but i cand see the lack of knowledge in this area among a lit of comments here, i am not a marketing guy, but i know here and there how actually things work, and to think Original is only that that is made only there in this world, would be like saying everything this day is a conterfit of it's own. Because NOTHING is made in the same place. Everything is wide spread Globaly, so what is actually original for you? Uou have no idea what you are talking about. Nokia devices of now are exactly like Nokia devices of then, just cause they use Nokia technology, you can't just stample a name this big on a device you have no ideea how to make. You need the technology to actually do it. And HMD must oblige Nokia's standards, Original Nokia enough for me. Let me Guess, Nokia devices that were assambled in Hungary were not Nokia original devices? What are we talking about here? There are a whole lit of exemples i can insert here, from Outlook who was bought by microsoft (not original?) To skype to Blackberry to whatever other brands they are sold, being sold, buy or bought.

Just because it's a 710 does other things ... morenobody asked about Samsung...i was comparing Nokia to Poco..where is Samsung in this?...and its my business to state my opinion as this is a free country...Since you are going to buy Nokia 8.1 go ahead and buy it...people can have different opinions and that's quite normal...and time will tell whether the game is 'on or 'over'....wait and watch

And now you... more'Tell me another platform that is on the market?'....that's what i am saying Nokia choose to embrace android as they had no other choice...they had this chance few years ago and they blew it...it was not because of 'proud' or something but stupidity, arrogance etc..they failed to see what the future is...Samsung saw the opportunity now see where they are...up there with the big boys..the big fish...as for Xiaomi and poco, they do not have a legendary logo like Nokia, so they depends on cheap pricing...and they have made great progress..something HMD global has not done so far ....so unless they learn their lessons fast new Nokia is going old Nokia's way.....Nokia is now a small fish in very big pond...

L1 support Fast charger out of the box andriod pie out of the box. Unlike Samsung whose A7 I was interested in but Samsung didn't even bother to give USB Type C let Alone Fast Charging. Nokia is a brand with value and yes they do charge their premium. And don't worry Nokia isn't going anywhere now. The game is on 😉

Original Nokia sade in 2011 'we will never use Android os, because we want to be unique' and phone division goes on windows phone and ms direction.. now 4-5 years later Nokia logo is on Android platform, with half baked os (the worse in androidone family, unoptimized from HMD side). Like i vrote, because of HMD global who use Nokia lic for phones, tablets, and not for original Nokia. Those phones does not exist years back (Nokoa 808 Pureview was last original Nokia with own os).. So they repeting same mistake, this phone is overpriced by 20-30%, they are not Samsung or Apple, not anymore :)

Nokia was Proud and stubborn, not greedy, there is a big difference... "If they are so good why are they gone?" Since when good and marketing have something to do with eachother? People would buy crapp if it would have been marked as gold! Why Nokia lost? They were skeptical their will be to many people that would embrace smartphones. And they had a good reason. 90% of smartphone users have no ideea how to use them. Symbian was a platform for people that actually knew how to work with such a device. It was way ahead of everything that came out after 2005, way way ahead. And that is why they were subborn and boght the platform for them selves. Even so, not symbian and nokia lost. Actually was the decision that destroyed nokia incomes, steven flop is quite known for it. For killing the MeeGo (a system that would have brought android down.by now) and calling symbian a burning platform in the middle of nokia n9 release, what Nokia had in mind, could actually work quite good, if sh'tlop would have not decided to sell nokia devices to MS. Nokia, as a company was betrayed, sold and destroyed by the big corporations they actually underestimated, while overestimating the mass, they did not get the fact that the mass are just a bunch of sheeps and one can take a huge advantage of that, instead apple understood and Nokia learned a lesson a little to late. As for overprice? In comparison to who? Picomoco? Xiaomummy and whatever other contrafit goods called brands by kids this days whom parents pay for their will?

Mr Know -it-all..here it is...i did not bring apple crap into this..you did..i do not care what patents Nokia owns...if Nokia were that good why they lost the market?... because they kept launching symbian craps when Samsung and others were embracing android..Nokia were so stubborn they thought that people will buy whatever crap they were producing..they were still greedy..everyone knows what happened after that..they went downhill..shut down symbian os.....got married to Microsoft ..bla bla bla
Now when they are trying to make a come back they are repeating same mistake at least in pricing even though this time they choose the correct platform..
i never said Nokia 8.1 is bad device..i only said its overpriced..
it is not old times when Nokia ruled..now there are plenty of alternatives..
Also nobody is forcing to buy pocophone..if you don't like it don't buy..got it?
Now tell me why Nokia choose android this time?
