i am using nokia 8.1 since sep2019 without lag..but after updates of 10 it got issue randomly switiching no internet to internet on 4G signal.. as phone is faulty or sim card for that i used my another 4G MI5 cellphone i putted sim card there and used internet on 4G signal without issue no switcing randomly like in nokia8.1 happended after update.so i gone trough some article on google and found one solution.
now phone signal on 4g and internet working fine without switching.
may be in next security patch HMD will remove that issue on phone.

Still don't get why we live in a world where manufacturers call their LCDs with those non-infinite contrast ratios HDR. OLEDs are HDR, only OLEDs.

The Android 10 update is extremely buggy on Nokia 8.1, but I do not think HMD will ever bother to fix these bugs and Google do not have them on other Android One phones so you might as well update and learn to live with the bugs!
The extremely bad sound quality from the bottom speaker and the speaker above the screen is the reason why I will throw my Nokia 8.1 away, it is unusable! Never ever again a phone from HMD!

Bought this phone 2 months back in 2020. Super build quality. Battery lasts approx 3 days if you don't install unnecessary apps and bloatwares. 18w charger does it's job in 1.30 hrs. Looks premium in hand. And yes those who don't preference games on mobile and use it for business purpose only, believe me, there no good phone out there better than this in 10 to 15k.

1. Quality: 9/10
You rarely see a phone built this well.
- Back Glass can't be scratched with some knives. It has highest scratch resistance I've seen in budget/midrange.
- Back Glass lass doesn't break from 10 feet drop.
- Front Glass doesn't break from 6 feet drop.
- Front Glass is just as scratch resistant.
- Aluminium edges with stainless Steel on sides & buttons.
Giving it 9/10 because repairs aren't cheap.
2. Performance: 10/10
Even in 2020, SD710 is one of the best chipsets in this price. In fact, Snapdragon SD 730G and Helio G90T don't offer any big or notable edge over it in games.
- You get 40-50 FPS in PUBG on HD with Shadows enabled.
50-60 FPS if you play on Smooth + Extreme, using PUB GFX+ Tool.
3. Battery: 8/10
- Its 3500 mAh battery lasts longer than many 4000 mAh phones, probably due to its power efficient 10nm chipset & Android One.
- It has 18 watt charging support & you get 18watt charger in box.
_ 100% in around 1.5 hour.
- It lasts 1.5 - 2 days in normal usage.
- 5-6 hours in PUBG.
4. Camera: 9/10
The stock camera is good as it is. It captures highly realistic colours, good details, portraits and records good quality 4K videos.
OIS makes your photography/video making experience much easier. It's one the only phones that offer OIS in this price.
If you install Google Camera (Gcam), there are very few phones that can rival its camera other than the top camera phones like Huawei P30 Pro.
It's one of the best camera phones you can get in this price but I gave it 9/10 because its Stock camera app fails in extreme low light conditions, like at night without a street light nearby. But that's easily fixed with Gcam.
5. OS:
- I don't care about updates but for those who do, it's upgradable to Android 10.
- So far no bugs. I like the clean Android look.
6. Audio: 9/10
- It's good and loud.
- The recorded audio quality is also good. I think it's Stereo, 192kbps.
The speaker isn't the loudest but it's as loud as other phones.

Z, 12 Feb 2020Decent deal I say.. as there aren't many good devices of No... more8.1 is no better than any other HMD/"Nokia" phone! A very common problem with 8.1 is the screen being randomly unresponsive for a few seconds and then respond to touches again, this is extremely annoying and can happen anytime in any app/game, and it is probably a hardware problem, bad build quality, but because the problem occurs randomly it is very difficult to prove that is actually is a hardware problem so HMD simply chose to ignore, not fix, the problem!

So, here is my piece of cake.
I am using this device since 15 days now. Its really has awesome in hand feeling, looks premium. Its battery also good but not very impressive. phone keeps on hanging and not responding too often which I think a software issue. The default camera is not up to the mark so please use gcam for best results. And never do night photography on this device, you will die of dissatisfaction. The charging time is really very poor.
Sound output is nice and can feel heating issue in low signals. Found heating issue specially in using camera and doing some processing work. heating is more than expected.
Stock android is not providing many useful things so we need third party applications for many tasks.
Ask anything if you want to know.
And yes... this device is available on amazon at Rs 10500 (refurbished) you must buy this as this prize is really really good for this phone.

My Nokia 8 phone had some issues in screen and in phone call mic, I am in guarantee period, The agency suggest replace it by noika 8.1 because no spare parts for my Nokia 8!
