No SD Card slot. No audio jack. I'll wait for Nokia 10 PureView...

I would be interested in the evolution of this, that is, the next Nokia 10 Pureview, but this device does not.

It has many things to fix.

Phone Reviewer, 09 Apr 2019This phone sucks, had it for a month and already traded it ... moreAgree i had the 2012 808 pureviw and 1020 pureview. nokia 9 do not live up to its name. Tok som low light samples with my old 808 portait indoor with flash and the new nokia 9. 808 from 2012 the 808 was better sharp and crisp 38Mp.

This phone sucks, had it for a month and already traded it off for a phone which actually is worth the price. So slow, Ui has glitches, frequently crashes, camera sucks even though it has 5, and it totally is a piece of trash. I regret getting it in the first place, I guess a DEAD company can never make a comeback.

Not only that you know nothing about hardware but keep talking bull... even tough you never tested this device. I do not need reviewers to tell me what is better, i can test and see it for my self. Especially that 90% from the reviewers have no idea what they are talking about, 0 experience and biased like the money. As of bazells, i am.not a sheep, i need usability and with a bit of bazells is actually way more confortable to hold the device with one hand, i use smartphones for working not playing crapitty crapp part two, snapcrapp or whatever the mass this days is driven into.

"Price was originally £499/AU$899 (about $700)" ("Nokia 8 review" TechRadar) The LG V30 launched for the same price, and the OnePlus 5T was hella cheaper, yet both were way better than the Nokia 8, in terms of performance and cameras. Second of all, learn to spell. Third of all, I never said I like notches. I hate notches. That's why I mentioned slider phones. And yes, almost everyone loves smaller bezels. If you want I could do a poll for ya. Lmao nobody wants outdated bezels, there's a reason we left those behind in 2016.

This phone is awesome, looking good in blue though not the best looking phone, at least no notch and that is a very big thumbs up. Can't wait to get this one.

Another failed atempt by HMD.....I still don´t get them, WHY CAN´T THEY DO IT RIGHT?? Almost one year to develop this phone, and still, plenty of bugs.....

For the price and if all was was working fine, could be a cheap and diferent alternative, ....

Zaid , 06 Apr 2019Hi nokia Please we need at least 256 gb storage We need... moreIt is good quality camera, just compare it with Huawei P30 Pro and see it for yourself. It is the best a phone can yield now. You don't understand how a product is designed, it takes a long time until is sell-able, the design of this phone started when SD845 was not even released. Cheap flag ships like iPhones and Samsung take 9 months to design when nothing is actually new on it. This phone has a dedicated IC from Light dealing with the cameras. The software is not perfect now, but the potential is tremendous. This phone is not for the average user, it is dedicated to serious photographers that want to get good photos without 5-8kg of gear. I have an DSLR and 3 lenses, it is so heavy to take a whole backpack of 8kg in vacation.

fred4C, 07 Apr 2019The camera of the Nokia 9 is fantastic. The Jpeg have such ... moreYou are so right. I use it every day and I totally agree with you

The camera of the Nokia 9 is fantastic. The Jpeg have such a level of detail and high dynamic range that they don't need any additional post processing. They just show what I saw without any over saturation. The same detail, the same dynamic, amazing. A real dream for a photographer is coming true.

I have done a test taking pictures with the Nokia and my full frame DSLR in RAW.
Looking at those pictures on my laptop with Lightroom, all Nokia's are far much better. Even adjusting parameters the DSLR don't match the Nokia's quality. This is amazing, Nokia is setting a new standard, a small smartphone taking fantastic pictures even better than DSLR and people are complaining about a missing 3.5mm audio jack ..... hahahaha.

OK I agree the fingerprint doesn't work. I simply don't use it, face recognition works well, done.
The 10 seconds to process the picture is nothing compared to the time I would need to achieve the same result. I'm very happy to get such a fantastic result in a few second. And this all in a small smartphone without having to carry a bag with camera and lenses.

About low light, I didn't try it so I cannot comment. The same for the B/W pictures. But I'm not sure that the native B/W capture is a great idea. How to apply colour filters in post production ?

How to use this camera ? Very easy the Jpeg pictures will match more than 90% of the needs (the google photos app allows to do easily some adjustment when needed. But I don't use it).
For special pictures when post production is expected (such as portrait), the RAW option offers more flexibility and allows to go much further, but this need also some skills to benefit of the big Lightroom potential.

I had this phone for a week now and I do not regret buying it.
Maybe photos are not the best ever made, but they still are incredibly good, detailed, balanced! And the software is not at all soooo slow. Even reasonably quick, at least for the quality of the photos.
I tried DSLR in the past, I had two of them, which I recently sold. If someone is not a professional photographer, I do not see the point in carying kilograms of gear any more.
The rest: best quality in conversation, very good screen, surprise: the audio DAC is quite a treat, sound through bluetooth on an audiophile grade system is unexpectidly good and spacious, battery lasts more than one day and everything runs softly.
I never was a Nokia fan in the past, this is my first.
Only complain: too slippery. A case is mandatory, but it spoils the beauty of the device.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2019Hopefully the dual SIM variant will support micro SD card slot I already asked on Amazon, the Pureview 9 is not going to support MicroSD unfortunately. Also makes no sense considering that the phone is catered for photo enthusiasts would likely take RAW photos which are massive.
