Good Battery Life!

    Cons (gsmarena review)

Uses last year's Snapdragon flagship chipset
User experience with the fingerprint scanner is poor
Buggy software, freezes and crashes happen often when using the camera
No microSD slot, while shooting RAW+JPG eats storage quickly
The default JPEG and video output is not flagship-worthy
The camera's prolonged image processing is tedious and takes a toll on battery life

    *****

HMD engineers have to do LOTS of work ahead.

For years now I've been rooting for a Nokia comeback, but it is not to be and I'm not going to wait around anymore. The thing is I'm a photographer and needed something light, portable, and ready to go with good image quality when I'm out with my SLRs or going light. This is why I bought into another losing team- HTC. I regularly get excellent publications with my U11 and U12+ and the squeeze makes the cams ready. The problem with Nokia is that video specs are outdated, sound specs are 2016 standard, no one can figure out the LTE bands, so it appears it's not going to be Band 71 compatible, maybe others, and reports are stating confirming that GSMArena softballed the review because buffering times after each shot are painfully long. This is one of the things that killed the 1020 for me. It was never ready to go and it was obvious that the reviewers were concealing this. Basically, they made a nice, 2018 phone with the Light Tech and nothing more. Then they released it in 2019 when much of the specs are 2017 standard. Here's to lamenting my old N8-00, whose imaging output was surpassed a couple years ago by the rest of the industry using smaller sensors. The 808 was an excellent performer as well, but those have finally been surpassed.

I am talking price performance and you are talking what you find nice. I actually couldnt care less about those two disposable devices you just listed. And, as it is to be seen, i am not the only one. P.s: Nokia 8 was released with a price tag of 549 euros in europe in 2017. You do not even know the device, yet you talk. Ps. I actually like the design of the nokia 8, quite slick. And i love the hardware buttons and am not the only one. So get over your heand, not everybody likes bazeless and notches.

Not all phones are above $1000. They aren't keeping prices low. They aren't innovating, there is literally nothing innovative about using last generation technology. This is literally the opposite, exnovation. And no, the Nokia 8 was nowhere near the best SD835 phone, I'd have to give that award to the LG V30 in terms of cameras/design/other features, or the OnePlus 5T in terms of performance. The Nokia 8 was one hell of an ugly phone too, the bezels were so last gen. (seeing a pattern here?) There was literally nothing to like about the Nokia 8, not even the price at $700 at launch.

Why Nokia not offering slow motion support

this is the best phone ever for me that i'd replaced to my 1020.
nokia stands what they've said its good for camera enthusiast/photographer.

for i rank it 200points for the camera and 150point for phone
if i where DXO i wont let my company pays by other company in order to get high points and hype people with lies.

I even bought an original plastic case for it, although if a Nokia phone needs a protector case, than it isn't really a Nokia. We will see if I will have to use it.
As far as the phone is concerned, I was quite busy last night, so unfortunatly I haven't had enough time to launch, install and actually use it to have any impression on how it performs. All I can say is that it looks good, but, being all covered by glass, it is easy to leave your fingerprints all over it. You almost have to wear gloves to keep it clean. Otherwise it feels solid, but light and well balanced.
