AnonD-632169, 21 Sep 2017Release in USA?Nokia is not planning to compete in the US market with their Flagship Phones In the near future. They want to build momentum and bide their time until their is a opening in the market. They are releasing their mid range and budget phones though.

same bull shit as 8 ,Nokia needs a large sensor cam to succeed, this IMX 258 is bull shit, Nokia must have used at least IMX 400, or must deal a contract with toshiba for cam sensors, still no cam can beat quality of pictures shot by nokia 808 and lumia 1020, cause they had large sensors, mpx count dosen't mean a thing but big pixels do gather more light especially when the lens is big, other major problem with this 9 is that people demanded stereo speakers but, same mistake as the nokia 8,u can't make nokia 6 sound quality better than 8 and 9, the good upgrade the oled panel is good but sound and cam same rubish

Pakalini, 20 Sep 2017give 6" inch OLED with 16:9 and no bezels.I would say keep the small bezel at the bottom to prevent phantom touch and allow grip area, but minimize the top one.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2017Dude dual 13mpx with a qualcom 835 is ample.. megapixels ar... moreMegapixels does not mean anything I agree completely. But some Person hoped for 41 megapixels l camera like old Lumia had. My point was just that It is just not possible at this moment for snapdragon phones.
But big megapixels need big sensor and big buying customers don`t wan to have big bump on phones. They want to have slim phones. So now we have slim phones, with small sensors and small batteries... o mores o tempora.
5.5 biollions of flies can not be wrong... right?

Why so small camera sensor? 13MP with 1.12µm pixels? Seriously? Why not IMX333, IMX362 or IMX378 from GPixel? Didn't they brag about taking photography seriously? Isn't that supposed to be "this one" flagship that was going to bring back nokia lumia's fame?

AnonD-651341, 19 Sep 2017what do you thing nokia really is ? chinese phone ? most oe... moreOne thing is to buy a phone manufactured and assembled in China, but designed by Europeans and another thing is to buy a chinese phone (designed by the chinese).
Apple is also made in china, BUT it's not chinese. See my point?
The difference is that chinese brands are lying to you, mostly about the hardware parts inside the phone. Just google Huawei P10 UFS2.1 vs EMMC. They say you buy it with UFS2.1 but instead you get ancient eMMC technology. The difference is HUGE!
Also, they are notoriously known for spying on your sensitive information and data.
In the end, I'd rather pay double or triple on a Sony or a Sammy from last year than a brand new fortune cookie.
But hey, that's me. I'm interested in QUALITY and durability, not quantity.

DualSIM with 128GB seems like something worth waiting for. If the battery will also be big, approx. 4000mAh, then I'm very interested.
Still, have to wait for the reviews to know whether it will be too unwieldy or not. Nokia 5 that I have now seems about perfect size-wide. In that way Nokia 8 may be the better flagship, just a shame there isn't 128GB variant

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2017The best snapdragon 835 can support is double 16 megapixels... moreDude dual 13mpx with a qualcom 835 is ample.. megapixels aren't everything... read up on your stuff before just posting links and suggesting limitations of the chipset... The standard 4K TV outputs a resolution of 8.3 megapixels... so the resolution is still literally more than 50% larger than that of a 4k TV... so in what use case will you be pixel peeping needing all that resolution? The only reason to pixel peep in the first place is to see the quality of the resolution, the reason for that is because HIGHER megapixel cameras on smaller sensors cannot capture the details in its original form... having a LOWER megapixel count on a larger camera sensor with a fast processor actually increases image quality ..so... your statement is literally garbage. Check out the Z1 it had a resolution of 20MPX but could rarely compete with its 16 and 13 megapixel counterparts because it was plagued with noise and other limitations when you actually inspected the photos...

AnonD-551482, 18 Sep 2017why on earth would you slap an F2.0 aperture on a phone cam... moreTrue looking at that aperture and small sensor size it's bound to fail or be average at best in low light.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2017The best snapdragon 835 can support is double 16 megapixels... moreNah its not always about the number of pixels. Good cameras usually comes with bigger sensors. Nokia phones are known to have big sensors.
