irfan, 02 Aug 2013all nokia dual sim h've hanging problem..M using asha 308(dual) since last 9 months, it don't has any hang problem.. My bro's 501 is working fine, no hang problem

Hi Friends Samsung Galaxy Star 5282 is much better than Asha 501 bcoz it gives only 64 mb RAM useless phone don't buy it. Waste of money

the phone is nice but only one thing , nokia xpress browser is a failure it doesnt show webpages correctly even those for mobile hope they fix it soon

Am using it for a month. This the best phone at the price range of 5K. Even with a poor harware Nokia has cleverly made it work like a charm. Specially the fast lane interface. very user friendly which is lacking one in most of the budget android phones. It does for what it is made. Other budget android phones at this price range doesn't have a good screen or good interface and clear and crisp icons and font like 501. You will never feel bad purchasing it. Though lack of many apps is negative, at this screen size and config even people wont use the apps for more than a month as the apps work better in better hadrware. So its better to have a phone with good interface, battery life and all basic features rathet to own a basic android phone which will neither have a good interface nor the apps work. If you are an app lover forget this phone. If you want a good touch phone with basic features then go for 501 no second thought.

I love nokia asha 501.. It's fast , fun, and addictive.. Games are fine, youtube streaming is so very fast, wi-fi is good, camera is good also.. :D
my only problem was there were SO MANY DUST INSIDE THE SCREEN.. GRRRR does someone have the same issue??? Can someone please tell me how to remove them???

I bought the Asha 501 dual sim phone from Virgin in mall of emirates and started to go theorugh the ecperience.
Cons:
1. Audio clarity is very poor. audio talks are muffled.
2. Plya music, you hear some jarred mutilated sound.
3. Dial a number: reception is not clear. even when you call a number hardly 20 mtrs away. Forget about calling someone across the world.
4. Touch screen: you will need to put pressure on the screen. screen swipe is not smooth.
In my opinion it is worth the hype and money. Can't understand how Nokia could stoop down to such a low quality perfomance phone.
Anyone who buys it will regret. Asha 501 does not even perform to the high quality performance, simple design of ALCATEL $30 senior citizens phone. that has all the features except it is not smart. By then why go for an expensive phone, that does not deliver.

I am huge fan of Samsung n nokia..but mostly samsunh..in terms of smartphones android iOS n windows. ...Samsung is the godfather of all the phones...but for common n low end device nokia is the godfather among all...nokia 501 is far better than samsung rex series...planning to buy this phone...

I have nothing to complain on this unit except the apps that you can download because it is limited. other than that, i have great time using this phone, and i am amazed about its battery life because it could last for 4 days with casual use of call, sms and wi-fi and also it doesn't heat up unlike the Android based phones. and also i am using an 8 GB memory card and so far no lags and works just fine... and planning to upgrade it to 16 GB if i have extra cash... this phone really worth your money...
