are u saying tht this model has nthng..ABSOLUTELY NTHNG in it?? i thnk this model has correct price 4 it.. itz jst tht u found odd to use this device.. say tht this model didnt apeal u..nd 5k in todays world it NOT a very big money..yes it may be for bpl peopls..

Now these are the real cons in Nokia Asha 501..
I'm using this phone from the last 20 days ...
U cannot do multitasking in this phone
When u open any application in Asha 501 & in the same time start receiving any data from other device through blue tooth ...then whenever the data transferring is completed, it'll display a message with "ok" button & after clicking on it, it'll take back to ur home screen(menu page). So again u should open/play the same application(before what you opened)
U cannot play high quality videos in it(hd videos)
There is no home screen for this device
U cannot send messages to multiple contacts
No search option(when u r in hurry to cal to ur friend/some one else then you should scroll down until u find his/her contact)
Don't expect any good games/interesting games in this mobile
So my suggestion is ...if u r a student those who keep on sending messages then i would say it is not better option for you
If u like games then go for good gaming android mobiles ...
U cannot play videos vertically(when someone is playing videos, they keep their mobiles horizontally. so it's a con which is not a big one)
Ear phones are not upto mark ..
watsup...bla bla bla are not there & already known fact is ..it's a 2G hand set
Overall i would say.. it is the better mobile with best build quality...
battery backup was good & touch is responsive
U can listen to songs & play videos & u can use internet for a long time
Don't compare with other phones ..
It's a worth able phone at 5000 rupees because this hand set belongs to nokia family which has more durability in terms of its life & usage..

This is nokia's premature baby.....
please don't waste your money on this phone....
it not even worth for Rs.2000.....
phone is useless and doesn't have even basic function like insert contact in message...
group message , send to all,.... wifi is also useless... U can't configure for manual IP....

prakash, 31 Jul 2013I never made a review of this device. I don't make reviews.... moreSpending INR 5000/- is cheap? Please don't compare with Samsung mobiles with Nokia. Nokia is know for good quality like LG, and unlike Samsung. You can't call a phone which costs 5000 as cheap phone,
but as it doesn't have copy/paste option, can't send SMS to multiple contacts at the same time, then you can call it as a cheap phone. Agree? Better purchase Nokia 301. It is better than this one.

its a good mobile, but the main problem for nokia is that there store is empty, they have not well know apps for asha or even for lumia, like subway surfers, angry birds, temple run. not even a good graphic car racing game. nd the other thing not good for theme, i mean i am theme lover. nd change the theme of mobile 10x a day. and last and very important issue for asha series is, they are not making new mobiles with camera flash. i know this mobile is not so expensive but atleast this kind of so called smartphone should have flash for camera.

this phone is not gud bcz it doesnot suport whts app ad whts app creaters does not intrstd to create whts app in asha and this phones scree is also small but bty bcup is to gud and this phone is wrost phone
