I hv been using this device since 4th of july. Here are pros and cons of the device.
Pros-
Great design n build quality.
Battery backup.
Smooth touch.
Easy to use UI
Good speaker sound
Cons-
Lack of popular apps.
Cant play large .avi video files of more than 150mb. Phone restarts again n again. May b due to less RAM.
Poor quality games
Tiny screen size
Feature phone.
Those looking for smartphone features. Stay away from it. However It can be a good backup device !!

I used it for 4 days n was not satisfied with its performance. It has lots of bugs n problems. This phone is a "feature phone" although nokia is projecting it as a smartphone. It can never perform tasks like a smartphone. It can be a good option if used only as a secondary device bcoz of its good battery backup.

Total Value For Money...So one sudn't compare it with Android or Windows Smartphones.(Myself Being an Android User)
Pros:
1.Nice Build Quality
2.Awesome and cool UI
3.Nokia Xpress Browser is surpisingly Fast with a 2G Connection.
4.Nice Responsive Touch Screen
5.Headsets Work Fine
Cons:
1.Screen size is a bit Smaller,facing troubles while typing a messages
2.Nokia Asha OS 1.0 Has Bugs(Serious BUGS)...Nokia Sud have Tested it Properly...Hope there wud be an update soon.
Overall....For 5k Phone....its a must buy for Nokia Lovers

I have my nokia asha 501 for 2 days. So far its easy to handle and it is really fast. The music is not bad compared to other high end phones. If you are looking for simple and basic feature phone, go for it!!! Any way its only P4490.Nokia finally came out with something big here...

I downloaded all the games using my wifi only. I dont know who is saying that we cannot download apps/games using wifi.

Bought this cute phone today in hyderabad(india)
One word to say bout this little pocket rocket
AWESOME
Bulid quality is excellent
Excellent soild built desgin
Great touch response
Simple & cool interface
Solid audio quality
Battary backup still have to check
Choosed black over all the colours because rest of them looked too funky to my taste.
Over all impressed by this little MONSTER :)

I read before (on a comment) that "it is impossible to download apps using the WiFi", i.e., you can only install apps using the 2G connection.
Is this true?
(This seems a bit weird/fishy... nevertheless, I would like to be sure about this point.)
