just had a demo of 501 yesterday at a mobile store. ....quite a
but the red version is too bright while black is very common so a bit confused to decide. ...but the question is does WHATSAPP is supported on the phone or not....that's my biggest deciding factor about this phone. . so if anybody knows then please comment here.

Those nokia Asha phones in the future must be upgraded a little bit more , they must have been equiped with a better camera and a front camera + 3g network +more power with a more powerfull RAM and CPU not very powerful but enough for apps..

Even I wanted cyan or green color but both are not yet available in the market so all I was left with was black, red and yellow.
Black and red are common so I went in with yellow and you won`t believe it is really a head turner. Almost 9 out of 10 people who saw me using the phone asked me what is this phone....ha ha ha. IMO yellow looks a bit funky.
Anyways, nokia will be launching the other color back covers for this as well. Then I will buy it. Although I found some available on ebay as well selling for 499 rs.

After a long search in the market and online i couldnt find CYAN.i had to go with black as RED looks more pinkish and girlish.now talking about the phone,this is just a basic phone with some necessary apps like FB,Twitter and few more.Dont expect too much from this phone.this phone cannot replace any andriod or windows phone.since the ui is simple and phone is smooth,dont treat this as smart phone.its only a feature phone.i was actually looking for such fone and thanks nokia for such cute phone.have to mention about its weight.absolutely light.u wont know even if some one picks ur pocket.please do ask me any thing about this phone.

moreover, There are reports that Stephen Elope, CEO, nokia will be ousted from the post of CEO if sales of nokia does not improve in 3rd quarter and nokia is considering to produce ANDROID phones from next year to survive n regain its market share.
Had this decision been taken in the initial stage, Nokia would still have been dominant mobile maker.
NOKIA will extinct if does not come out with some major changes in its policies n products !!

except design and battery backup this phone has nothing good to offer.
it can be a good secondary phone/backup phone, it can never replace a smartphone. Dont expect much from it. It is just a feature phone with new look.
i got it, used for 4 days, was not impressed with features n performance so exchanged it with LG OPTIMUS L4 II DUAL by adding little more money.
There are some good smartphones available in the market if u can add 2000 bucks more in your budget like LG OPTIMUS L3 II DUAL & HUAWEI ASCEND Y300.

There r customer who r waiting 4 Nokia cell which got basic features like screen size (3.5), screen clarity, 3g, dual sim, both cam (back with LED flash), 1 or 2 gb internal memory/32 gb external latest OS (nowadays these r basic feature) & they dont mind spending extra

Why nokia avoiding LED flash for camera. They done the same with Lumia 520. Will it cost more than 500 INR ?. Also 501 has 128 MB memory but 208, 207 have 256. Why they try to make it as much cheaper as they can, as people will not mind getting these goodies by spending few more money ?.

I love this phone! It's fun, fast and cute... Just going hands on makes me wanna own this phone, and I would if I didn't have my eyes (and funds) set on the next Nokia WP device :) I just wish it has a higher res screen and 3G connectivity.

Lumia 520 is selling like hotcakes everywhere. No other phone can beat it in that price range. It's a cheap phone that doesn't lag, hang, or reboot daily. All due to WP8 being optimized for Snapdragon chip.
