I recommend this phone to even higher smartphone users. Though a feature phone, NA501,gives you real smartphone experience. The interface nd multitasking are superb with wide range of applications to choose on the go. It's a feature phone so don't expect 3g or gps, but the WIFI works real well + great battery life which makes your phone last a century. Hehehe. Kudos to nokia

bappa1984, 19 Jun 2013NA 501 will be better from samsung galaxy duos lite or sams... moreYou or other may say SGYD has more customization or a lot of apps.In term of customization you have to think what are your HardWare?,if they can bear or not.can they give longtime effort?are they balanced in all aspect?etc.droid or S can't give those promises.But Nokia claimed on the launch occation of 501,it'll be clean n smooth.Have you example that SGYD can run smooth for 2or3month?Now apps,there are so many apps/maleware that will eatup your HW life or make your firmware buggy that it loses it smoothness.Nokia give app developer easy path for making more convenient software.(After all we'll taste the new platform,then we'll know more in details.NOKIA making a sub-ecosystem for people to gain satisfaction as well as money.

Just because the 501 has low specs doesn't mean it won't be a good phone for basic needs. I'll say it again, the Nokia Asha 501 is meant for entry level customers, not the spec-hungry people.

Yes the phone may support all types of applications however all the apps will
Not be available for that phone . But the basics like social apps and news
And a few more will be surely I'n it's buffet of apps .

for a low budget phone it consists of card slot & java thats quiet ok!! except for GPS,gr8 design looks cool.
