Hello frenz,
i want to buy a phone which records calls without voices from my side when i have muted my microphone. Right now i m using nokia 5320 and 5800xm. both have the following prob.
i have to use call conferencing with my microphone muted and listen to my seniors lecture. sometimes when i m busy, i have to record calls without beeps using total recall, vox track personal or other 3rd party call recorders. but the prob is when i record call with my mic muted, it records call including the surrounding noises from my side. How can this happen? i have muted my mic, even then it records my voices in call recording. i even tried it in nokia's built-in recorder.
just call up yr customer care, after the call starts, mute microphone from options, now go to applications and start recording using in- built recorder or any 3rd party recording appli u want. just say 'hello-hello' for some time and then stop recording. now disconnect call (its free call). go to gallery and check the recording. i think it will have recorded the customer care voice and yr 'hello=hello'. this means the mic is not muted when u r recording, just the caller (cust care) cant hear u.
i went to Nokia care n they were kind to inform me that the older nokias (n70-73) used mic as hardware, i mean it can be detached/ removed/ repaired. so when u mute call in those phones n then record calls, as there is a mechanical mic, it would not record noises from caller side. but as this mic had probs n several people tempered with mics, nokia started using digital mic. so even if u record with mic muted, it will record ur voices.
this is nokia centre story. those who deal with nokia hardwares, plz confirm this and help me on buyin a symbian s60 nokia with hassle free call recording. i think i'll have tobuy a second hand model or so. Plz tell me which nokia models have mechanical mic or shud i go for Samsung or LG or micromax in which they have in-built call recorder without beep and the above problem

Shalv, 31 Oct 2010Hi, This is Shalv from Mumbai, Iown Nokia C-5 from 4 mon... morethe problem is because u might have called to a vodafone number from vodafone number.. vodafone service providers have this as a problem. call gets disconnected for every 30 mins.. i had this problem when i had vodafone.. iam not sure about that.

hey friends,
i want to know tha advantage of c5 over 5230/33.Has c5 multi functioning.I mean while using net can i view a msg in the inbox? has it got video recording? Does the video buffers quickly? And the output comes with no struck in between in the internet usage(bec i heard that it stands as a fastest serving internet)..pls somebody reply me..i m goin to buy it in two days..

go for 5230 its available in just 7.2 k and it offers much better features.

Dear C5 users, I want to know about the music quality of this phone.If I use the same headphone i used in X3 and 5230, Will i get the same loudness and same quality audio in C5? Phone's built in loudspeaker is not a big deal for me. I m very much confused about C5 audio performance as so many users have complained about it. So please let me know the truth.

first of all i would like to suggetst you to pls cross confirm this problem with your service provider as now a days service provider providing limit for a single call as working with Call Centre i would like to suggest you to confirm the same in cust care on complain department & than after make complain to nokia if its not a problem from your service provider

i bought this one exactly one week before...i hope this phone comes in the zone called as smartphone as i found it....
messaging is awesome with its large key pad( being user of t9, i predict one word and next time it takes it automatically :-))
internet browsing is too good with even erail.in practically opening on the default browser...java functions :-)
most liked feature was GPS with predictibility within 10m in google maps...:-)
details logs also keeps track just too much with all records of smses, data and voice with call duration...beware guys :-)
switching between applications is also good...and my phone probably hanged for just couple of seconds while opening a file of 1.23 mb of excel....(it had lot of interconnections which i know, even computer gets, what a phone)
sound is a bit low but well audible in a room....
sound on earphone is also not bad....audible in buses while travelling and you can't hear anybody nearby :-
)
ebuddy can be kept online for 36 hours for full battery drain....:-)
so battery back up is good...
camera quality is also good....liked it....with its attached functions
emailing is wonder with the smart email application , probably we call it mail for exchange :-)
overall i give this phone 8 in all aspects....
i don't know about the phone manufacturers but my phone is made in korea :-)(get some hint)

when using music player,i cant change the songs using headset button,i have to go to music player and use scroll to change...is it common wit dis set?....and also no smileys are der to use while messaging.....is dese things are common or wat pls anyone answer it

helllooooooooo....
i bought this phone 10 - 15 days back at Rs. 7600 its white one ...its a nice phone with all the features like gps, symbain operating system , 128 ram , 600 mhz processor , 3.2 camera....it works well & supports java & software well in my opinion it is value for money..but the only problem i faced was that it hanged 4 to 5 times in this short period & my explorer got stuck so i had to format it with ..*#7370# & its working fine again....i hope it will help u in buying this phone if u bargain har u can get this phone at 7500 one of my frnd bought it today at 7550....

I have been using Nokia C5 around 2 months. To me it's very very good handset.I did'nt get any problem till now. all the features are good. Specially for browsing internet in mobile as well as PC, it's a very good device. I am experiencing high speed internet on this. all the features are there which all are available in other Nokia N series mobile but compare to other set price is very low. None of the mobile can give these many features in this price...sound quality also is not bad..those who blamed this set for sound quality they should buy hi-fi music system for listening music and afterthat should go to doctor for hearing damage
