Anbu, 13 Aug 2010Go to nokia care and get it solved. I had the problems for ... moredont install any useless software on it,just keep ur phone clean ,install ony necessary software and trusted too,then u will never face any restarting problem.

I want to buy a c5.it's great features i.e.3G, camera,low price,other specifications.but very sorry to telling you guys.....that handset not available in nokia centre.Could you say,what is the reason ??

hi,
I have been using nokia c5 for the past 3 weeks or so... it is a good looking phone... it comes with ovi maps and other nokia usual stuffs... lack of wifi is a huge drawback for this phone... also the internal ram is not enough for ur fast using.. it tends to hang on... u need to restart to to make ur phone normal... on the account of gprs, i use aircel, but the speed is too slow.. i dont know if it is due to the phone or the service provider... the sound quality is good... one speciality abt this phone is the battery life.. this ismy 1st nokia phone i really realise why nokia's battery is always appreciated... it is very slim... I accept tht the phone is overpriced...
so my final call is may be 6/10...

contact name match and a big box with the numbers. If you
want to dial the matching contact, just press the up
navi key to highlight the contact and press the green call button.
If you want to dial the number, just press the
green call button right away.
What does it say for you ?

kayc, 13 Aug 2010Not sure what you mean by "smart" dialling ? S... moresmart dialing = contact search. on the standby screen we're suppose to be able to jz search for contact jz by typing the person's name straight away right? even the user manual says so. for some reason mine's not working.

The phone also has voice navigation in hindi and urdu (which needs to be download using ovi suite. only english is installed by default).
Maps are accurate but landmarks (like restaurants, petrol
pumps etc.) are not very up-to-date. Google maps will probably
be better.

Speed dialling can be configured by settings>speed dialling
Voice dialling won't work very well because it cannot reliably recognize pronunciation of indian names. But not
too bad.

Even nokia has accepted this problem and are investigating it.

... moreOpera mini is not installed by default. But you can get it
for free from store.ovi.com or opera's own website.
bsnl 3g works great in bangalore and gives download speed
faster than bsnl's dsl broadband.
I'm on the basic bsnl 3g plan (1 paise for 10 kb). There
are other plans too if you want to use it heavily (visit
bsnl website for tariff).
No idea about video calling without front camera.

I'm frm Lucknow. And i'm searching for Nokia C5 frm last 10 days. Neither its avilabe on any Nokia priority dealer or on shops like mobile store. I have searched nearly 25-30 shops bt with no success. All said tht 2nd lot of C5 has not come frm last 2 months. Plz lemme know tht whn this product will be avilable in market again. Plz HELP!

i wd really appriciate if u could solve mine as well ,,,, i hv bought c5 yestarday its a great phone coz i hv nvr used any higher end phone before i bought it for internet surfing mainly... nw i cant c any shortcut for opra mini shal v have to install it or its already there ?
and if v have to installl it then frm where ?
and i assume u r using bsnl 3g
howz it?
whats d speed and hw much u have to pay for that ?
and talking abt videocalling ,,is it necessary that both the partyes should have dule camera ?

hey guys, i just got this phone this morning. everything seems to be working fine but only one thing is not. there's smart dialing but mine doesnt seem to work. i turned it on dy. does anyone else have this problem? any solutions?
