This phone, like the other sexy Nokias will sell like hot cakes - mainly because it offers a lot of features (3.5mm jack, autofocus camera etc) in a practical and attractive form factor. Not to mention the intelligent home screen that the iPhone lacks. This is really where Nokia shine and why they are not going anywhere. If you cannot afford a complicated smart phone, the C5 hits the nail on the head. It would even be worth owning this as a second or backup phone.

gwrsh, 25 Feb 2010When Nokia C5 Will Available in India?
What Cost It Will Be?No news on that, you'll have to wait for the official announcement. Nokia will likely release this to the emergng markets being a C Series device, but little information is known at this time.
@Mobilemaster, it appears the Nokia N87/8 is in fact the successor to the N95 from what I'm being told, the much rumored N98 won't be the N98 or offiially known as that, but is being looked at as the N97 replacement.
only 1 S Series device will be released toward the end of the year, and that the N900's successor running the new MeeGo OS, what we do know is that the QWERTY keyboard will disappear. We can expect to also see two more E Series devices, one of them already known to us as the E73. The other two will be announced shortly we hope.

Mobilemaster, 23 Feb 2010Thank you for all your infos, I have to tell you something,... moreHey, competition is a good thing, you are entitled to what you like and we are only human, so we're bound to like different things. I like all brands, I also happen to think that SE build quality is better than Nokias, the best and second to none.
I personally think Nokia/SE and LG make good quality handsets whereas Samsung, Motorola and Apple seemed to have taken a dive with plastic recently.
If there is anymore news on the C Series, rest assured you'll hear it on here or NokNok, one of Nokia's many blogs.

Mobilemaster, 23 Feb 2010But the Erdos is not an 8800 series phone?? I knew it is a ... moreHi, the Nokia Erdos is based on the 8800 platform and the S Series is speculated to be comprised seperately of a luxury segment and feature heavy smartphones which almost equal tablets and netbooks. All we know is that the N900 replacement is likely to be the first one these devices to bare the S Moniker. Just know that a maximum of 2 handsets a year are likely for this range, the N Series will see 4 at the very most. The main focus of the market will be heavily on C, X and to a lesser extent, business class E Series models
There will be more touchscreen N Series devices, in fact, almost all of the range except for the Classic C Series, some E Series and rumored Erdos will be touchscreen orientated. Don't worry about Samsung and SE being ahead in the touchscreen sector, you will see a vast number of changes for the user experience come the 3rd quarter of this year.
