... morehey, I've been using C6-00 for One Year and Two Days now! And, objection to your comment on video playback- if converted to .mpeg4, h264, the cell can play higer resolutions of videos. Now I'm using Format Factory to convert videos with 480x360 resolution with stereo sound, giving bitrates around 1100kbps. And it records videos at around 3000kbps, with good sound quality. The cell went bad once, became extremely slow, around 3 months ago. But it was inside the warranty period, so i dumped it in NokiaCare, it came back good in Two days. But the problem was not in the software, it worked all right- the screen was the culprit! So, advice, if anyone buys one, don't sit on the cell, or don't keep dropping it!
Otherwise, good phone. I'm using it in 2G only, but my monthly downloads reach around 5 GB, the cell manages well. Actually that's why I'm using it in 2G- it's a whole lot cheaper!
Good phone, nice for internet browsing. And if you have good network connection, you'll be able to play youtube videos in the browser too; just goes blank after a minute of buffering!
Actually, a few minutes ago, I was watching Ice Age 3 in it, and I could actually count Manny's Hairs!
Good multimedia performance. But didn't get a firmware update for 5 months. Last update was just the browser. It's good though.

I want to buy a new phone and using the Nokia E63 at the moment I stuck between the Nokia C6 and Samsung galaxy ace. Im more of a nokia fan but beleive change is good Any advise on the Nokia C6 or Samsung Galaxy Ace

this is the most amazing phone that i have ever had its really strong and it has a lot of options and a good touch

c6 is a nice phn if u cn keep a low profile wit ur gadgets & avoid onlin mode 4 batt; dont ever lt it fall & dont put de phn in ur tight jeans 2 aviod sensor prob...i'm nw usin htc,face it pals..nokia is gone

had a really bad experience with teh touch screen.. twice went bad under warranty period and now again after warranty.. warranty expired on march 2012... had a very good opinion about nokia but now need to think twice before getting a expensive nokia cell phone... C6 is not worth Rs.12000 for the way it worked for me... but nokia keypad phones are appreciated...

this handset is not as bad as many people are making out.
The touch screen is a little iffy, but since i have re calibrated it, the touch is a lot better
The features are quite good along with the build - dropped it once just a tiny little gash
The battery, on 1st usage managed 8 hours standyby with little usage, after a 1.30 minutes charge, with the phone being on.
But what i have discovered for this particular handset is that the 1st charge should be done with the phone off, because the charge time increased for earlier 1.30 minutes to between 3 to 4 hours, my belief is that the charger [acp 15x], charges the handset to quickly, 'ignoring the dormant cells'
i am a little disappointed you have to pay for the office suite, but i have discovered using the scroll feature, you can navigate across your document
the calender feature is a big plus, because it shows and displays many characters, from your task, notes or appointments, not like other handsets, which limit the amount of characters per each new entry
As for playing audio, all is fine, except the volume level is a tad low, even after adjusting setting 'loudness' and 'equalizer'
Movies, have to be re encoded to a format of 320 by 240, otherwise they won't play, this was for mp4 [as for those talking about the processor speed or gpu effecting video playback, this is not true as the nokia c6, has a faster processor than a sonyericsson elm, and the sonyericcson has no problems with playback, also the same case is true for many htc handsets before the touch dual, touch diamond - what is really missing is a media player that can movies in any format, with re encoding to the format mentioned above or have to go through the signing process.
Also i have had many program open, with any issues of hanging or having to reset the handset
Horsepower; after a full charge a few days ago in the morning, i managed to watch 3 hours of movies, 45 minutes of music, 15 minutes just playing with the handset and 6 to 7 hours of standby before the phone switched off... not sure if this is good or bad, so users of other manufactures,please let us know if this more or less, what you are getting, for similar specification [compared to the c6]
One further thing i should mention which is critical to the battery power, there is a software glitch that after [this is in v.40] exiting applications that use 3g or hspda, the connection remains on, to disconnect, hold the off button [red] when ask to quit data connection, click yes. [ this can be sorted in a software upgrade.
gps was fine, as was the radio,syncing was smooth and the camera was really good. a overall this being my 1st proper nokia[went from a blackberry 9790,in the past htc's and cybershot sonyericssons]i am more than happy for the price i paid, 'used but in good condition' because i can do many stuff new handsets can do except Near field communication, for a fraction of the price
one last piece of advice, widgets, consume battery life too, so if you don't need it remove it

Though i never enjoy this phone for ones ever since i bought it, but at least i'm still managing it 'cos i cant afford to buy any big phone for now..but what surprise me most is that, despite of all complaint that we the users of nokia c6 have been made....NOKIA has done nothing about this phone. I just cant believe this, people keep complaining about samething yet you find no solution to it haaa! Nawa o!....
All d same guys pls is there anything i can do to d new problem i'm facing on this EPILEPTIC phone, the facebook application that comes with the phone keep telling me this: ''an unrecoverabler error occoured. It might help to reboot your device'' and i have reboot several times, even i did code formating(*#7370#) but the problem persist still, and i have been facing this for about 5months now..i thought if i do d upgrading it could rectify it but no shit after upgrading...PLEASE HELP!!!
