Guys, I really need some help here. Please, anyone with an opinion is welcome.
I plan on buying a C7 in a few days (its relatively cheap, cool design, free offline SatNav and FM transmitter). However, i want to avoid buying one that hangs and restarts repeatedly. I've heard people say it depends on the batch. Some say its depends on where it was made (Hungary, Korea, China, etc). Maverick's phone is made in Korea (I think) and doesn't have any problems (except the purple tint, which i'm ok with).
Is there any way to identify a defective model before unboxing?
If not, can the hanging/restarting issue be fixed with firmware updates?
Please guys, help me out! Been reading through this forum for days, cant find a definite answer.

c7 is actualy a gud phone..luk is relly stylish..i vl say go 4 it..a gud 1 vd indeed a lower budget..!!

Just a piece of advice, before buying..make sure to check the amoled if it has the discoloration issue (try to google it to find out on how to determine if the unit you are buying has this issue; but someone here said that almost all new c7 and N8 have this issue, but it wont do any harm if you check right?you might get lucky)unfortunately, mine has this "purple amoled issue" but im really not bothered by it.
By the way, my unit's color is frosty metal..i think I've read a c7 user here who has the charcoal black color and has complained at NCC coz the color has faded. the reply he got was its because his sweat was acidic (i think)lol. I'm really unsure about this,but mine hasn't faded or anything maybe because I'm using Capdase.

Hi guys,jus got a C7 yesterday, i also have the purple half clock issue,but the dealer says its a theme effect, when i turn my screensaver clock to digital instead of analogh,the numbers appear white,is this happening to any one else as well? please reply its a made in korea piece

thanks for give me advice to all the frnds but i finally decided to go with c7 and tomorrow i m going to buy it....thanks frnds n wish i love this phone....and finally one thing which colour is better ....thanks again frnds

Samsung Galaxy Ace is cheaper in price, looks great in design but the only thing that i dont like is the screen if compared to C7. The screen looks greenish or yellowish. If you ask me, i will opt for Nokia C7.

frankly speaking, when it comes to looks...for me, C7 is undeniably better..with a thickness of 10.5 mm compared to N8 with 12.9mm plus that bulging camera lens..c7 is totally slimmer and feels much better in the hands.
camera is the big difference right?8mp pictures from c7 is not as great as compared to N8's 12 mp autofocus, but its not that bad.this is my personal opinion and I've nothing against N8. Its just based on my experience with 4 months' use of C7.

I think you are one of those N8 buyers who've spent around 7k bucks extra for 99% the same features that you could have gotten in C7.
I don't think spending that much for an HDMI port and a better camera is worth it.
In most of the Nokia Priority outlets, you have demos of these phones. I don't think you could say that the N8 feels like it's from another planet or is extremely solid as compared to the C7.
I think, C7 is a much more stylish design of the N8 features, with a budget in mind.
Don't try to force your decisions (or I must "your mistakes") on others.
Everyone: please bother yourselves to visit the Nokia Priority, have a demo and then buy. Do not just buy because you've read it's good..
Buy it only if you feel it's GREAT !!!
