Yesterday at the mobile store in delhi, I was checking a demo C7 and I noticed that it has 3 homescreens with some widgets, but when you press the menu button all the applications are presented in multiple horizontal screens like android.when I asked the owner which app it is, he has no clue and said its just a theme.
Of course it was not N-desk,Vhome,gridtouch or mobile shell as they are not among the apps. Any clue?

The Nokia C7 is an excellent phone. It's very well built, solid, easy to use, the Symbian OS a delight, and the phone itself an excellent value for money. I have been using the C7 for a month now after having tried other top brands models, the C7 is for me the best. Good work Nokia, keep up the good work.

I used it with the TV out cable that came with my old N82.. works perfectly, auto detects the cable and outputs, clarity is pretty good, but not HD of course.. its analog.. screen rotates with the phone so landscape mode is preferable.. and you can use the phone just as you nomally would with its display output on the tv, the phones display stays on except for when its outputting video from the video player when screen controls will still be visible on the phone screen but the video will not..and video output, especially if you have HD content on ur phone, is pretty good. You cant get HD resolution without an HDMI cable so forget that on the C7, but what you do get is pretty good. Full marks.

I bought c7 a few days back, whenever I try to open my location on ovi map, it stops after some loading and could not open further.
Another problem is sometimes touch screen don't respond, I need to lock and unlock the phone to respond again.
Plz help....

Hak, 18 Mar 2011hey guys. maverick nd others i wana know how to identify th... moreFirst of all, even if you do have the 'problem', i wouldnt be too worried unless it degrades ur experience with using the phone in other areas as well, and in my experience most of the early N8's and C7's have this issue.
To check it out, people say they face this problem with the analog clock on the lock screen, ie when ur phone's screen is locked, press the menu key which will bring up the lock screen with its analog clock. If the issue is present the upper half of the clock will have a reddish purplish tint,which you may notice disappears at a higher screen brightness. Mine does that.
I'd suggest you download some test images to better check it..just check my post some time ago in reply to John's query..I've included the links there.

The best nokia unit yet. The video is crisp. Stylish package. Apps are okay. No problems with ovi. Best symbian os to date.

AnonD-1225, 18 Mar 2011thats just ur opinion..! the wave 2 has better battery l... morei agree with all you said, expep for the performance. Nokia c7 has a lower clock procesor, and less ram. But symbian is a really low resorces consumition OS. I have compared both phones and i can tell you that both work like a charm, no lag no hang no "memory full" error.
