but a bit of confusion still persists..I have heard the 5MP camera of wave II with autofocus wins flatly over c7 or c6-01's 5MP fixed focus camera..also it gives a better web browsing experience..
I hope the speaker of c7 or c6-01 is louder than that of wave's..
If u cud advise me over this..i guess m choice will boil down to either C6-01 and C7(based on the screen size)or wave II.

hi maverick.. can you please help me.. i'm about to copy the movie that i downloaded using utorrent but im getting an error message in my C7.. do you know what i need to do? do i need to convert the format? i read some comments that avi is working fine in their C7// thanks

Ash, 06 Mar 2011Hey Maverick , help me decide properly coz i m planning to... moreI have played 720p videos on the C7 but to be honest they've been short clips and I havent tried files over 1.5 GB yet, so I cant comment on that..I've heard that you cant seek (ff and rewind) on files bigger than 1.5 GB and that the player cant play files larger than 2 GB, which basically means that if you want to play a whole movie bigger than 2GB, then you might have to split it into two files.
What I can tell you is that I've tried multiple file sizes and formats of video files and they all have played without a hitch, even m4v files which honestly I didnt expect to play. And I've never experienced and judder or dropped frames or even the subtitles lagging..all videos play well for me, I usually just drag and drop files from my pc without reconverting them, ususally as xvid or .avi, and havent had a problem with any so far. The C7 has a good "full screen"/pan scan feature which resizes the video to fit width or height, and the ratio of the screen is 16:9,videos fill up the screen without bars on the top or bottom..nice.

The C6-01 and C7 are exactly the same phones with respect to features, software and performnce EXCEPT the display which is a 3.2 inch CBD on the C6-01. The C6-01 tends to be slightly cheaper too. I would advise you to try out working models of both phones in your hands and see which one you feel comfortable with..with me it was the C7 cos I found the screen of the C6-01 a bit cramped.
Regarding the Wave II, its lost quite a bit of features compared to the original wave, namely the brilliant screen and resolution of the original. And compared to Symbian, Bada isnt a very mature operating system and apps for Bada are even less than symbian, so my advice is to go for the Symbian C6-01 or C7 or a higher end droid (not the ace or optimus) if you can afford it.

I reluctantly bought a nokia product, I have been using Sony products. Initially it looked good, but as started usingit the flaws appeared.
Firstly the Symbian apps are good both free and paid
Java apps also dont work well with this c7
The phone keeps hanging manytimes
Camera is not that great except for video recording
Document viewer takes ages to open
Basically it has not impressed from my previous Sony K790i. The only upgrade i feel is touch screen & video player
Overall I am waiting to change my phone soon & definetly I am not buying Nokia.

I m still hung between C7 and C6-01..is there any difference between the two apart from screen size?are camera performance,video playback capability and internet browsing experience same on both the devices?do they support videoa calling? Also samsung wave II is in my mind..plz help me out in selecting one..

built and design is awesome, best phone i've had.
if you could just add the super-amoled screen of samsung galaxy s, the camera of n8, the latest android os, support for the iphone app store and at least 3 days battery life - this could be the perfect all around phone! =)

Either phone is good Ajith..if you dont mind the smaller size of the C6-01 then its a good choice and also slightly cheaper with the same features. I dont think you will go wrong with a C7 as well.
