But it has no CBD. I read so many opinions about the
c7 purple gradient when playing video.Is this common
to all c7 phones? some says it happens with silver color phones and other says it happened in finland phones..
at the same time so many peoples are satisfied with
the performance of this phone.Actually, i want c7 i love its look.

AnonD-3102, 05 Mar 2011that means we can use gps without internet?Yes.. the maps are stored on your device so you dont need internet connectivity. Its a great feature u'll have hard luck finding on a android,iphone or blackberry. I use this feature very frequently particularly when travelling to a new place.

brij, 03 Mar 2011i want to know about the camera quality and flash quality f... moreThe camera is pretty good outdoors and at good distamces with good lighting, eg landscape shots. Indoor shots especially close up tend to be poor. The intensity of the flash is good but doesnt help with the camera quality indoors. Video recording however, is very good.

I found the screen size of the C6 to be too small for my taste. It looks like a small difference on paper but you should see working models of both to appreciate the small but significant difference between them. I dont have a problem with video playback with normal brightness on the C7.
In short, both are good capable devices. Try them both put and choose the one you prefer. Good Luck.

I live in Riyadh, Sa... moreGPS is good..if you bought the phone in the middle east it shoud have middle east maps preloaded..u can update the maps every few months by using ovi suite. The maps are stored on you device which means you dont have to be connected to the internet to use navigation unless you turn on the assisted GPS option which helps to quickly lock on your position. Voice guided navigation for drive and walk is free for the lifetime of the device and navigation and maps is fairly accurate. You can also get free city guides for selected cities.I will admit that the free offline GPS is a major reason I got the C7.

Cause the MOST... moreI've used Phoenix on my earlier symbians but not on the C7..its not somethings thats for everyone which is why I didnt want to suggest that to Andrei..and updating via OVI suite hasnt caused me any problems so far..in fact its what i used to upgrade the C7 to PR 1.1. Users who know what they're doing can use the alternative..be aware it will void ur warranty and dont mess with it till ur clear on it. That said, I havent bricked a phone yet by messing with it ;)
I'm not modding or rooting the C7 cos for one I'm gonna hand it to my wife later to replace her phone and two cos the possibilities on symbian from here on in are likely to be small.I havent found any reliable community for symbian 3 ala maemo or android..know any? I use my N900 and Galaxy S for messing around..have custom kernels on both those. I'd really like to see an implementation of the NFC that the C7 has been rumored to have..its something I havent experienced on any of my previous phones.

A single fluctuation in the server and the download might halt leaving a bricked phone in your hands. Unless there is an offline mode but still the safest and most commonly used procedure is JAF or Phoenix. Besides JAF takes only around 30-60 seconds to finish updating or reinstalling the firmware.
Oh btw, have you tried using any custom firmware for C7. Or tried editing the rofs3 and uda files to gain better access to the phone's raw hardware capabilities.

I have this phone for one week.i am very satisfied.works beatiful.is one of the best phone from Nokia.Symbia 3 os is a big step ahead for nokia.with amoled screen i dont have any issue .nokia c7 is a very good choise for only 270 euro

Andrei, 04 Mar 2011Hey Maverick,..thanks 4 replying..culd u please put me thru... moreAndrei, I dont think u'll be able to reinstall ur firmware just using your phone..U'll need a PC with a good internet conn and ovi suite on ur pc and connect with a USB cable and follow the instructions it gives you..Just make sure u backup ur phone first which ovi suite will prompt you to do. The download is about 160 MB i think and will take 15 - 20 mins to complete. If your phone is umder warranty you can take it to Nokia Care and ask them to do it too, which is probably easier and safer for you. If you want to do it yourself try out what I've said and I'll be glad to give you more detailed instructions if you like.
Most of the HD games are just around $2 or so..once you have OVI store on your phone you can check it out!! you can also access it on a pc through your ovi account and send an sms with the download link to your phone through the site. Good Luck.
