No pr... moreGo to nokia.com and download the latest ovi suite, or if u already have, connect ur fone via USB, then click on the last tab which is sofware update.it'll then check for the updates, then u backup, update, then restore. Simple (i.e by clicking next in the interface).

Anonymous, 12 Feb 2011I Also have a slight reddish tint in the bottom screen.. ba... moretry to set your C7 clock to analogue and then slide lock the phone, then press the menu button..you'll see the analogue clock and the unlock button below, if half of the clock is purple, then we have the same problem (AMOLED problem).i'm not sure if this is a defect as i've read so many users sharing the same fate.it's tolerable but watching movies(even in high quality) you'll notice that dark scenes tend to be sometimes pixelated or purplish instead of gray. others, let me know if u have the same problem...thanks!

hey c7 users...plz suggest me which color is bttr n i shud go for.personally i prefer da frosty metel one n wantd 2 buy dat color,bt at da shop they say dat only da chrcoal black color is available.so i m really confused.guys i need ur opinion n help.Plz do help.Thnx in advance.

zen, 11 Feb 2011iv been using this phone for 3 months..i never had any prob... moreI Also have a slight reddish tint in the bottom screen.. barely noticeable if not using dark themes but really visible when loading my avatar game. I did not pay attention at first coz i thought its usual, its only a thin red horizontal line. Still not bothered though

wow...i'm a c7 user,i'm glad that my phone is not defective and it is sleek and good looking but now that they've announced that nokia will be partenering with wp7..nokia is letting us down symbian 3 users...what will happen to us..stucked with pr 1.1 update?this thing is disappointing..

iv been using this phone for 3 months..i never had any problem wid it since.but lately iv read some threads about the purple tint, unfortunately mine has.is dis really a defect? its barely noticeable, and watching movies with dark scenes are affected.is nokia doing something about this?i just hope this doesn't get worse.anyone with the same problem?

AnonD-1353, 11 Feb 2011can someone tell me whether dec 200 manufactured c7 is from... moreIf you really want to buy the phone, go buy one, then use it immediately in the store, don't go outside, then update the firmware if there is available update so you could test if there's a bug, if none then you can go home, if you experience restarting problems go to your seller and demand for replacements.

It is said that 2nd batch was made last December and shipped in January. v012.004 contains the power issue bug fix so it could be the 2nd batch firmware fix. But I'm not certain with this. Also, not all of those first batch are defective, but you will be taking the risk if you're not lucky enough.

can someone tell me whether dec 200 manufactured c7 is from da 1st or da 2nd batch?coz da shopkeeper wont let me open da sealed pack to check da software version of da set.also plz tell me if i buy dis phone n aftr dat find dat its software is not updated,will i have to go to da nokia service center to update it?or can i do it by myself?and if it is of da 1st batch,n if i update da sofrware,will i still face da mentioned problems of da 1st batch sets...guys plz give me an answer...i really want to buy dis handset....thnxxxx.

hi nc7, pls i want 2 know weda nokia c7 wit p.r 1.0, v012.003 software did belong 2 d first batch or 2nd batch. I checked it wen i went 2 shop yestaday and the shop owner refused 2 tel me wn i asked him but i managed 2 see d software version. Pls am confused and i need help.
