GSMARENA! let this one through, please!
Well there seems to be a lot of bias and prejudice out here:
-No, symbian does not need 1 GHz to go around. C7 would not be a better phone with that spec. Just drain more battery. The same with the low amount of memory. Symbian is efficient.
-It has a powerful GPU to back up for the above!
-No, you cannot compare S60 (N97 etc) or whatever to S^3. Just as you don't compare Android 1.6 to 2.3
-Yes, today you have to update your phone in order to get the real exp. That goes for Android, iP and symbian. It just seems as symbian gets all the flames for its need of tweaks and fixes.
Heres my review and experience of C7 compared with my friends and familys Android phones:
Take 1 GHz Android of choice from same price class. Crank up mp3, www (with flash), open some office documents. Now do the same with C7. The check which one is lagging and which one runs out of juice first. Even on my old E series Nokia I can do this without hanging the phone. Then do a few drop and scratch tests. I know from experience that C7 will do good here. That´s why you by it. Yes, you might have a few hidden settings and a slightly lower res screen 8nothing you see from holding it at normal distance from your face. But thats it!

For anyone who says nokias latest phones are slow has obviously never used one, i have been using my E7 for the last 4 weeks and can say i have not experienced any lag and have'nt had any problems, nokia has really stepped up there game and i think people should really check out what they have on offer before judging...

What's wrong with Nokia? Putting 8 megapixel camera on this device is a big "WOW". But having a FIXED FOCUS one makes me NOT want to buy it. I'd rather buy a phone with just 3.2mp but has AUTOFOCUS.

Hey Nokia! Why only built-in fm radio you included to your tech devices, i think it is great too if you add built-in a.m radio because sometimes I want to listen news especially local news in my country and also can you make your series 40 in a multi-tasking feature like a Sony Ericson.. THANKS! Sory for my bad english.

What will be "astounding" is the price. But hey, nokia makes the best phones, right?...

A fixed focus camera of 8mp sensor is totally meaning less, because a 5mp auto focus camera can produce much much clear photos than it. Moreover a fixed focus camera uses smallera lens than a auto focus camera, so low light performence is also become worse. So those who wants to use there mobile as a camera shouldn't think about this model. Rather by Nokia X6. Its 5mp AF camera produce so much clear photos, sometimes as clear as a digital camera. . . :-)
