[deleted post]The CPU is just as fast as it is needed to be: Symbian doesnt need a 1 GHz CPU. And it does have a powerful GPU. Just kick off a few apps and it will still do fine. GPS with free navigation. The cam takes some pretty good movie captures.

Take any 1 Ghz Android from the same price class as C7 and cranck up an mp3, a few webpages (with flash) and open some office and pdf files. Which one is lagging the most, and which one will run out of juice first? That´s how you measure it, not by babbling up the "empty" specs.

Nagol, 24 Mar 2011I really don't get the hate for Nokia on this website at al... moreyeah i agree with you..those android trolls know just little of what symbian can do..symbian dowsn't need 1ghz processor and 512mb ram to run..unlike android, it needs a higher specs just to run the device..i think nokia symbian is still the most efficient smart phone than any other phones around..

It is called efficiency. Furthermore, its got a powerful GPU to kick of some graphics. This is a problem for those born in the 90´s, but for us "elderly" who well remember the Intel vs AMD clock speed fight some 10 years ago this is not a difficult thing to comprehend. Or the transfer from one OS generation to the another for that matter. Of course, its not the exakt same thing here, just that symbian is less heavy to get going. Its not about the horsepowers, its about the weight of the load. In order to try it in practice: take a C7 and a roughly equally priced 1GHz Android of choise, crank up the mp3 player and surf the web while opening a pdf file or something at the same time. Which of these phones will start to lag? Actually my good old Nokia E51 can do this, without too much sweat (its called real multitasking).

While other co... moredude get with the times, nokia are gunna be releasing windows phones in future to replace symbian. Another thing is symbian doesn't have high cpu requirements unlike android or windows phone os's. Besides, having such fast cpu can drain the battery of the phone and doesn't mean the phone is gunna have better call quality or reliability.
Get your facts right before posting and making accusations against phone companies.

Ric, 24 Mar 2011I got a C7 last week and returning it today... issues with ... moreHi Ric. I'm also buy C7.... the problem same. I go to servis centre & change motherboard. s###. get back after 2 weeks.
But after change motherboard, everything going ok. but technician work not quite good. my c7 got scratch...

ok ok symbian sucks for u guy. say, if nokia change to android, will u purchase a nokia? no.
so pls keep on criticizing abt symbian the fact that u criticize just for the sake of criticizing. can't u let nokia have a different os from others. if u dun like symbian, dun buy. there's lots of ppl like it.
